Setup and Assembly
Your Victrip T5 Ebike comes partially assembled. Follow these steps to complete the setup:
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the ebike and all components from the packaging. Retain the packaging for future transport or storage.
- Unfolding (if applicable): While the T5 model is not foldable, ensure all frame components are securely fastened.
- Handlebar Installation: Attach the handlebars to the stem, ensuring they are centered and tightened securely. Adjust the angle for comfortable riding.
- Seat Post and Saddle: Insert the seat post into the frame and adjust the saddle height to allow for a slight bend in your knee when the pedal is at its lowest point. Tighten the quick-release lever or bolt firmly.
- Pedal Installation: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. The left pedal tightens counter-clockwise, and the right pedal tightens clockwise. Ensure they are fully threaded and tightened with a wrench.

Figure 2: Proper pedal installation is crucial for safety. Note the reflector for visibility.
- Battery Installation and Charging: The 48V 15AH LG cell battery is integrated into the frame. Ensure it is securely locked in place. Before your first ride, fully charge the battery using the provided 48V3A charger. The charging time is approximately 4-5 hours.

- Tire Inflation: Check the tire pressure of the 20*4.0 inch fat tires. Inflate to the recommended PSI (usually indicated on the tire sidewall) using a suitable pump.
- Brake Check: Test both front and rear hydraulic brakes to ensure they engage smoothly and effectively. Adjust if necessary.

Riding Modes
- Pedal Assist System (PAS): The motor provides assistance as you pedal. Use the controls on the handlebar to select different assist levels. Higher levels provide more power and less effort. The ebike offers a pedal-assisted range of up to 80km.
- Pure Electric Mode (Throttle): Engage the throttle grip to ride without pedaling. This mode provides a range of approximately 50km.
- Manual Mode: Ride the ebike like a traditional bicycle without any motor assistance.

Gears and Shifting
Your ebike is equipped with a Shimano 7-speed shifter. Use the shifter to change gears according to terrain and desired pedaling effort. Shift smoothly to avoid strain on the chain and drivetrain.
Braking
The Victrip T5 features hydraulic brakes for reliable stopping power. Apply both front and rear brakes simultaneously for controlled deceleration. Avoid sudden, hard braking, especially at high speeds.
Lights
The ebike includes a front headlight, rear brake light, and turn signals for enhanced visibility and safety, especially during low-light conditions or night riding.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your ebike.
Battery Care
- Charge the battery fully after each ride, or at least once a month if not in use, to prolong its lifespan.
- Avoid completely draining the battery.
- Store the battery in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Use only the original 48V3A charger provided.
Tires
- Regularly check tire pressure and inflate to the recommended PSI.
- Inspect tires for wear, cuts, or punctures before each ride.
Brakes
- Check brake levers for proper tension and responsiveness.
- Inspect brake pads for wear and replace them when necessary.
- Ensure brake rotors are clean and free from oil or grease.
Chain and Drivetrain
- Although the chain is rust-proof, keep it clean and lubricated for smooth shifting and to prevent premature wear.
- Inspect the Shimano 7-speed shifter and derailleur for proper alignment and function.
General Cleaning
Clean your ebike regularly with a damp cloth. Avoid using high-pressure washers directly on electrical components. Dry thoroughly after cleaning.
Frame Inspection
Periodically inspect the high-carbon steel frame for any signs of damage, cracks, or corrosion. Address any issues promptly.
Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your Victrip T5 Ebike.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Ebike does not power on | Battery not charged or not properly installed; loose electrical connection; display issue. | Ensure battery is fully charged and securely seated. Check all visible electrical connections. Try pressing the power button firmly. |
| Motor not assisting (PAS/Throttle) | Low battery; PAS level set to zero; brake levers engaged; loose motor connection. | Charge battery. Increase PAS level on the display. Ensure brake levers are fully released. Check motor cable connection. |
| Brakes feel spongy or ineffective | Air in hydraulic lines; worn brake pads; contaminated rotors. | Have hydraulic brakes bled by a professional. Inspect and replace worn brake pads. Clean rotors with disc brake cleaner. |
