The controller features input terminals for power (DC 5-24V) and output terminals for connecting to SPI RGB LED lights (GND, VCC, DAT).

5.2 Wiring Diagram

Follow these steps to connect your SP328E controller:

  1. Power Connection: Connect your DC 5-24V power supply to the input terminals labeled 'DC 5-24V (MAX 4A)' on the controller. Ensure correct polarity.
  2. LED Strip Connection: Connect your SPI RGB LED strip to the output terminals on the controller:
    • Connect the LED strip's Data line to the controller's 'DAT' terminal.
    • Connect the LED strip's Ground line to the controller's 'GND' terminal.
    • Connect the LED strip's Power line to the controller's 'VCC' terminal.
Ensure your LED strip is compatible with SPI control (e.g., 1903 type).

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic On/Off Control

Once paired with the app, you can use the main interface to turn the connected LED lights ON or OFF.

6.2 Group Division and Control (BLE Mesh)

The SP328E supports BLE Mesh technology, allowing you to control multiple controllers (up to 200 units) from a single phone. You can divide controllers into up to 10 distinct groups within the app. This enables synchronized control of lighting effects across different areas or segments.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a dry, soft cloth to clean the controller. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the controller in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use.
  • Firmware Updates: Periodically check the app for any available firmware updates for the controller to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Controller not powering on:
    • Check if the power supply is correctly connected and providing the correct voltage (DC 5-24V).
    • Ensure the power adapter is functional.
  • LEDs not lighting up or incorrect colors:
    • Verify all wiring connections (GND, VCC, DAT) between the controller and the LED strip are secure and correct.
    • Confirm the LED strip is an SPI type and compatible with the controller (e.g., 1903).
    • Check the app settings for correct pixel count and color order if applicable.
  • Cannot connect to the app:
    • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
    • Make sure the controller is powered on and within range.
    • Try restarting the app and the controller.
    • If multiple controllers are present, ensure you are attempting to connect to the correct one.
  • Synchronization issues between multiple controllers:
    • Ensure all controllers are within the recommended 30m distance from each other for optimal Mesh network performance.
    • Check for any physical obstructions that might interfere with the BLE signal.
