Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to set up your portable air conditioner:

  1. Placement: Place the air conditioner on a flat, stable surface in the room you wish to cool. Ensure there is at least 30cm (12 inches) of space around the unit for proper airflow. The unit is equipped with four wheels for easy movement.
  2. Window Kit Installation:
    • Assemble the window sealing kit according to your window type. The kit is suitable for sliding door windows.
    • Attach the exhaust hose to the unit and then to the window kit adapter.
    • Extend the exhaust hose and secure the window kit in your window opening, ensuring a tight seal to prevent hot air from entering.

    Note: The included exhaust hose must be connected for the air conditioner to work effectively in cooling mode.

  3. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded 230V/50Hz electrical outlet. Ensure the unit is placed closer to the socket for convenience.

Operating Instructions

Your HOMCOM Portable Air Conditioner features an LED display and can be controlled via the control panel on the unit or the included remote control.

Modes of Operation:

The unit offers four distinct operating modes:

  • Cool Mode: Provides powerful cooling with a temperature range of 16°C to 31°C. This mode keeps the area at a constant desired temperature.
  • Ventilate (Fan) Mode: Circulates air without cooling. You can select between two fan speeds (High/Low).
  • Dehumidify Mode: Dries out moisture in the air, with a capacity of 14 liters per day. Ideal for humid environments.
  • Sleep Mode: Designed for quiet operation and energy saving during sleep. In this mode, the unit gradually increases the set temperature by 1°C every hour. The noise level is reduced to approximately 50dB, compared to 65dB in other modes.

Timer Function:

The 24-hour timer allows you to program the unit to turn on or off automatically, providing convenience and energy savings, especially for sleeping.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your air conditioner.

  • Filter Cleaning: The unit features a removable and washable filter to keep the air fresh and clean.
    1. Unplug the unit from the power outlet.
    2. Remove the air filter from its housing (refer to the diagram below for location).
    3. Wash the filter with lukewarm water and a mild detergent.
    4. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to air dry completely before reinserting.
    5. Reinstall the dry filter and plug the unit back in.

  • Water Drainage: The unit has a safe auto cut-off feature when the water tank is full. When this occurs, the unit will stop operating, and an indicator light may illuminate.
    1. Unplug the unit.
    2. Locate the drainage point (often at the bottom rear of the unit).
    3. Place a suitable container under the drainage point.
    4. Remove the drain plug to allow water to flow out.
    5. Once drained, replace the drain plug securely.
    6. Plug the unit back in to resume operation.

  • Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
