4. Setup and Assembly
4.1. Charging the Battery
- Connect the charger to a power outlet.
- Slide the battery pack onto the charger until it clicks into place.
- The charger indicator light will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes 1 hour.
- Once fully charged, remove the battery from the charger.
4.2. Installing/Removing Battery
- Installation: Align the battery pack with the base of the drill handle and slide it in until it locks securely.
- Removal: Press the battery release button (located on the side of the battery) and slide the battery pack out.
4.3. Installing/Removing Drill Bits or Screwdriver Bits
The drill features a 10mm self-locking metal chuck for quick and stable bit changes.
- Rotate the chuck counter-clockwise to open the jaws.
- Insert the desired drill bit or screwdriver bit into the chuck.
- Rotate the chuck clockwise to tighten the jaws securely around the bit. Ensure the bit is centered and firmly held.
- To remove, rotate the chuck counter-clockwise until the bit can be pulled out.
4.4. Adjusting Direction of Rotation (Forward/Reverse)
A switch located above the trigger allows you to select the rotation direction or lock the trigger.
- Push the switch to the left for forward rotation (for drilling and screwing in).
- Push the switch to the right for reverse rotation (for unscrewing).
- Center the switch to lock the trigger, preventing accidental activation.
4.5. Torque Adjustment
The torque adjustment ring allows you to set the desired torque level (28+3 settings) to prevent over-tightening screws or damaging materials. The '3' settings refer to the impact function for drilling into harder materials.
- Rotate the ring to select a lower number for smaller screws or softer materials.
- Rotate to a higher number for larger screws or harder materials.
- Select the drill icon for drilling operations, which provides maximum torque.
- Select the hammer drill icon for impact drilling into masonry.
4.6. Speed Adjustment
The drill offers two mechanical speed settings, controlled by a switch on top of the tool:
- Speed 1 (0-600 RPM): Provides higher torque, ideal for driving screws and drilling into hard materials.
- Speed 2 (0-1800 RPM): Provides higher speed, suitable for fast drilling into softer materials.
The stepless speed trigger allows for fine control of the rotation speed within the selected range; press lightly for slower speed, press harder for faster speed.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Drilling
- Select the appropriate drill bit for the material (wood, metal, masonry).
- Set the torque adjustment ring to the drill icon for maximum power. For masonry, select the hammer drill icon.
- Choose the desired speed setting (Speed 1 for harder materials, Speed 2 for softer materials).
- Position the drill bit on the workpiece.
- Press the trigger gently to start drilling, gradually increasing pressure as needed.
- Maintain a firm grip and steady pressure.
5.2. Screwing
- Select the appropriate screwdriver bit.
- Set the torque adjustment ring to a suitable number for the screw size and material. Start with a lower setting and increase if necessary.
- Choose Speed 1 (low speed) for better control and higher torque when driving screws.
- Position the screwdriver bit into the screw head.
- Press the trigger gently to start driving the screw, applying steady pressure.
- Release the trigger once the screw is fully driven or the clutch engages (at the set torque).
5.3. Built-in LED Light
The integrated LED lamp automatically illuminates the work area when the trigger is pressed, providing precise working in dark surroundings.
5.4. Torque Protection Function
The torque protection function helps prevent damage to screws and materials by disengaging the drive when the set torque is reached. This ensures precise drilling and screwing, especially with delicate objects.
6. Maintenance
6.1. Cleaning
- Always disconnect the battery pack before cleaning.
- Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the tool's exterior. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Keep the ventilation openings clear of dust and debris to ensure proper motor cooling.
- Clean the chuck jaws regularly to ensure proper gripping of bits.
6.2. Battery Care
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Do not store batteries in a discharged state for extended periods. Charge them periodically if not in use.
- Avoid dropping or physically damaging the battery packs.
- Use only the charger provided with the tool.
6.3. Storage
- Store the drill and accessories in the provided hard carrying case to protect them from dust and damage.
- Ensure the tool is clean and dry before storage.
- Store in a location inaccessible to children.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Drill does not start | Battery not charged or improperly installed; Direction switch in locked position. | Charge battery and ensure proper installation; Move direction switch to forward or reverse. |
