4. Setup

The Smart875 keyboard supports three connection modes: 2.4G Wireless, Bluetooth 5.0, and Wired Type-C. Use the physical switch located on the side/back of the keyboard to select your desired mode.

4.1.1 2.4G Wireless Connection

  1. Locate the 2.4G wireless receiver in the package.
  2. Plug the 2.4G receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
  3. Slide the physical switch on the keyboard to the '2.4G' position.
  4. The keyboard should automatically connect. If not, press the designated pairing key combination (refer to the shortcut key card) to initiate pairing.

4.1.2 Bluetooth 5.0 Connection

  1. Slide the physical switch on the keyboard to the 'BT' (Bluetooth) position.
  2. On your device (computer, tablet, phone), go to Bluetooth settings and enable Bluetooth.
  3. The keyboard should appear as 'EWEADN Smart875' or similar in the list of available devices. Select it to pair.
  4. If prompted, enter the pairing code displayed on your screen using the keyboard and press Enter.
  5. The keyboard supports multiple Bluetooth profiles. Refer to the shortcut key card for switching between paired devices.

4.1.3 Wired Type-C Connection

  1. Connect one end of the provided Type-C data cable to the keyboard's Type-C port.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to an available USB port on your computer.
  3. Slide the physical switch on the keyboard to the 'Line' or 'Type-C' position.
  4. The keyboard will be recognized as a wired device and is ready for use.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Key Remapping and Customization (QMK/VIA)

The Smart875 keyboard supports QMK/VIA firmware, allowing for advanced customization of key functions, macros, and lighting effects. To use this feature:

  1. Ensure the keyboard is connected in wired mode (Type-C).

  4. Press the new switch firmly into place until it clicks. Ensure the pins are straight to avoid bending.

    • Verify that the correct JSON definition file for the Smart875 is loaded in the VIA software.
