Setup

  1. Power Connection: Connect the included transformer to the DC input port on the back of the radio clock and plug it into a standard wall outlet.
  2. Battery Backup: For time and alarm settings retention during power outages, insert two (2) AA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment located on the bottom of the unit. Ensure correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Initial Time Setting: Upon first power-up or after a power outage without backup batteries, the display will flash. Use the time setting buttons (usually labeled 'Time Set' or 'Hour/Minute') on the top panel to set the current time. Refer to the button layout on the device for specific controls.
  4. Radio Antenna: Extend the FM wire antenna (if present) for optimal radio reception.

Operating Instructions

Time and Display

  • Setting Time: Press and hold the 'Time Set' button, then use the 'Hour' and 'Minute' buttons to adjust the time. Release 'Time Set' when finished.
  • LED Brightness Adjustment: Use the 'Dimmer' or 'Brightness' button (if available) to cycle through different LED display brightness levels for comfortable viewing.

Radio Functions

  • Turning On/Off: Press the 'Radio' button to turn the FM radio on or off.
  • Tuning: Use the 'Tune +/-' or 'Scan' buttons to find desired FM stations.
  • Saving Stations (30 Station Memory):
    1. Tune to the desired station.
    2. Press and hold the 'Memory' or 'Preset' button until the display flashes.
    3. Use the 'Preset +/-' buttons to select a memory location (1-30).
    4. Press 'Memory' or 'Preset' again to confirm.
  • Recalling Stations: Press the 'Preset' button repeatedly to cycle through saved stations.

Alarm Functions

  • Setting Dual Alarms (AL1, AL2):
    1. Press and hold 'AL1 Set' or 'AL2 Set'.
    2. Use 'Hour' and 'Minute' buttons to set the desired alarm time.
    3. Press 'AL1 Set' or 'AL2 Set' again to confirm.
    4. Select alarm source (Buzzer or Radio) using the 'AL1/AL2 Mode' button. The display will show 'AL1-BUZ', 'AL2-BUZ', or 'AL2-RA' (Radio Alarm).
  • Snooze (Repetición): When an alarm sounds, press the 'Snooze' button (often a large button on top) to temporarily silence it. The alarm will sound again after a few minutes (typically 9 minutes).
  • Stopping Alarm: Press the 'Alarm Off' or 'Power' button to stop the alarm completely until the next set time.
  • Auto-off (Sleep Timer): To fall asleep to the radio, press the 'Sleep' button. Repeated presses will cycle through various sleep timer durations (e.g., 90, 60, 30, 15 minutes, or off). The radio will automatically turn off after the selected time.

Connectivity

  • AUX Input: Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone) to the 'AUX In' port using a 3.5mm audio cable. Select 'AUX' mode on the radio clock to play audio from the connected device.
  • Headphone Input: Plug standard 3.5mm headphones into the 'Headphone' jack for private listening. This will mute the main speaker.
  • USB Charging Port: Use the USB port on the unit to charge compatible external devices (e.g., smartphones). This port is for charging other devices, not for powering the radio clock itself.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace the AA backup batteries annually or when the display shows signs of dimming during a power outage. Ensure the unit is powered by the transformer when replacing batteries to avoid losing settings.

Troubleshooting
