Maintenance
Battery Management
- The lock has a battery life of up to 1 year under normal usage.
- A low battery alert will activate when the battery level reaches 15%. Replace all 8 AA alkaline batteries promptly when this alert appears.
- In case of complete battery depletion, the lock can be temporarily powered via the USB Type-C emergency power interface located at the bottom of the front panel.
Cleaning
Wipe the lock's surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Lock does not respond | Low or dead batteries | Replace all 8 AA alkaline batteries. Use the USB Type-C emergency power if needed. |
| Fingerprint not recognized | Finger is dirty, wet, or improperly placed; unregistered fingerprint | Ensure finger is clean and dry. Place finger flat on the sensor. Re-register fingerprint if issue persists. |
| PIN code not working | Incorrect code entered; anti-peeking feature confusion | Verify the correct PIN code. Ensure you are entering the correct sequence, especially when using the anti-peeking feature. |
| Lock sounds an alarm | Wrong operation detected (e.g., forced entry attempt) | This is a security feature. If it's a false alarm, ensure proper usage. If a genuine threat, take appropriate action. |
| App connection issues | Bluetooth off; app not updated; lock not paired | Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone. Update the Tuya App. Re-pair the lock with the app if necessary. |
