4. Installation
Before beginning installation, ensure the power is OFF at the circuit breaker. Operating with power on is strictly prohibited.
4.1. Installation Steps Overview
- Wiring the switch.
- Install the Tuya APP or Smart Life APP (if not already installed).
- Connect your Zigbee gateway to the 2.4G wireless Wi-Fi network (if using Zigbee model).
- Add the Zigbee/Wi-Fi switch to the app.
- Set up Multi-control (optional).
4.2. Physical Installation
- Remove the Faceplate: Gently pry the button panel apart from the main body of the switch with your hands.
- Connect Wires: Connect the electrical wires according to the appropriate wiring diagram below. Ensure all connections are secure. Terminals without loads can be left unconnected.
- Fix the Switch: Secure the switch body to the junction box using screws.
- Reattach Faceplate: Align the button panel with the corresponding recess and press it firmly until it clicks into place.

4.3. Wiring Diagrams
Red is Live wire (L), blue is Neutral wire (N), and yellow is the lamp load wire. Green is used for double control signal wire.

This method requires both a live wire and a neutral wire for operation.

4.3.2. Single Live Wire Wiring
If your switch has an optional 'N' terminal, it can connect with or without a neutral wire. Otherwise, a neutral wire is a must. If using single live wire and the switch does not operate normally, an extra capacitor may be required.

4.3.3. Capacitor Connection for Single Live Wire
If the single live wire switch does not function correctly, connect a capacitor in parallel with the lamp connected to L1.

4.3.4. Double Control Switch Wiring (Single Live Wire)

5. App Setup and Device Pairing
5.1. Download the App
Scan the QR codes below or search for "Tuya Smart" or "Smart Life" in your mobile app store to download the application. The switch is compatible with both apps.


5.2. Add Zigbee Gateway (for Zigbee models)
If you are using a Zigbee model, ensure your Zigbee gateway is connected to your 2.4G wireless Wi-Fi network and has been added to the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app. Refer to your Zigbee gateway's manual for specific instructions on adding it to the app.
5.3. Pair the Smart Switch
- Enter Pairing Mode: After powering on, the switch should automatically enter pairing mode, indicated by the purple and blue indicator light flashing alternately. If not, long press any switch button for 5 seconds to reset the switch and enable pairing mode.
- Add Device in App: Open the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app. Tap the "+" icon in the top right corner and select "Add Device".
- Connect: The app will automatically search for the switch. Once discovered, click on the switch to add it. Ensure your Zigbee gateway (if applicable) is already added to the app.
- Complete Setup: Click "Completed" once the device is successfully added.

6.5. Relay Status Settings
Configure the switch's behavior after a power outage. You can choose for the light to turn ON, turn OFF, or remember its last status when power is restored.

- Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. This switch does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.
- Make sure the switch is in pairing mode (blue and purple indicator light flashing alternately). If not, long press any button for 5 seconds to reset.
- Bring your smartphone closer to the switch and Wi-Fi router during pairing.
- Verify your Zigbee gateway (if applicable) is properly connected and added to the app.
- Voice control not working:
- Ensure the smart switch is successfully paired with the Tuya Smart/Smart Life app.
- Verify that your Tuya Smart/Smart Life account is linked correctly with your Alexa or Google Home account.
