3. Setup Guide

3.1 Connecting Your Device

  1. Connect to TV: Use the provided HDMI cable to connect the HDMI Output port (4) on the TX5 to an HDMI input port on your television.
  2. Connect to Power: Plug the power adapter into the DC Power Input port (5) on the TX5, then plug the adapter into a wall outlet.
  3. Network Connection (Optional):
    • Wired: Connect an Ethernet cable from your router to the Ethernet Port (3) on the TX5.
    • Wireless: The device supports Wi-Fi 6 (2.4G & 5G). You will configure this after initial power-on.
  4. Audio/Video (Optional): If using older equipment, connect an AV cable to the AV port (1) or an optical cable to the SPDIF port (2) for audio.
  5. USB Devices (Optional): Connect USB storage devices or peripherals to the USB ports (7, 8).
  6. TF Card (Optional): Insert a TF card into the TF Card Slot (6) for expanded storage.

3.2 Initial Power On

  1. Ensure all connections are secure.
  2. Turn on your TV and select the correct HDMI input source.
  3. The TX5 will power on automatically or you may need to press the power button on the remote control. The Power Indicator will show blue.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions for initial setup, including language selection, Wi-Fi connection, and Google account login.

4.1 Remote Control

4.3 App Management

4.4 Display and Audio

4.5 Network Connectivity

Benefit from faster speeds with Wi-Fi 6, supporting both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands for stable and high-speed wireless connections. An Ethernet port is also available for wired connections up to 100Mbps.

5. Maintenance

  • No Sound: Check the volume settings on both the TX5 and your TV. Ensure audio cables (HDMI, AV, SPDIF) are properly connected.
  • Wi-Fi Connection Issues: Go to network settings and ensure Wi-Fi is enabled. Re-enter the Wi-Fi password if necessary. Ensure the device is within range of your router.
  • Remote Control Not Working: Check the batteries in the remote control. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the device.
  • Apps Crashing/Freezing: Try restarting the app. If the issue persists, clear the app's cache or reinstall it from the Google Play Store. A device restart may also resolve the issue.
