4. Spot Welding Process

The spot welder supports welding of 0.1-0.25mm nickel-plated steel plates and 0.15mm pure nickel steel plates. For optimal results, ensure the device is fully charged.

  1. Prepare the nickel strip and battery terminals.
  2. Select the appropriate gear setting based on the material thickness and type.
  3. Place the welding pens firmly on the nickel strip and battery terminal.
  4. When the welding pen touches the nickel plate, the self-checking function is automatically triggered, and the response time is 0.8 seconds. The device will then execute the welding pulse according to your settings.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

  • Ensure the device is powered off and disconnected from any power source before cleaning.
  • Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Keep the welding pen tips clean for optimal conductivity and welding performance.

2. Storage

  • Store the spot welder in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
  • Ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50-70%) before long-term storage to maintain battery health.

3. Battery Care

  • The 5000mAh lithium battery is designed for low power consumption and long use time. It features low current protection and can maintain standby for over a year.
  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • If the copper electrodes of the welding pens wear out, they may be replaceable. Consult the manufacturer or seller for information on obtaining replacement parts.

Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your spot welder.

1. Poor Welding Quality

  • Issue: Welds are weak, inconsistent, or burn through the nickel strip.
  • Solution: Adjust the 'Gear' (main pulse), 'PreH' (preheat pulse), and 'Gap' (interval) settings. Different materials and thicknesses require different parameters. Experiment with small adjustments until a strong, clean weld is achieved. Ensure the battery is fully charged, as low battery can affect welding power.

2. Device Not Powering On

  • Issue: The device does not turn on after long-pressing the power button.
  • Solution: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the device to a power source using the USB-C cable and allow it to charge for at least 15-30 minutes before attempting to power it on again.

3. Overheating

  • Issue: The device feels excessively hot during use.
  • Solution: The device has built-in over-temperature protection. If it overheats, it may automatically shut down. Allow the device to cool down before resuming operation. Avoid continuous heavy use without breaks.

4. Display Issues

  • Issue: Screen is frozen or unresponsive.
  • Solution: Use the 'Reset hole' (refer to Figure 4) to perform a hard reset. A small pin or paperclip can be used to press the reset button.
