4. Setup Guide
Follow these steps to set up your Kingbox K787 receiver:
- Connect to TV: Use an HDMI cable (not included) to connect the K787's HDMI OUT port to an available HDMI input on your television. Alternatively, use an AV cable for older TVs.
- Connect to Satellite Dish: Connect your satellite dish's LNB cable to the DVB S/S2 input port on the rear of the K787 receiver.
- Connect Power: Plug the provided power adapter into the DC 12V input port on the receiver, then plug the adapter into a standard AC110V US wall outlet.
- Initial Power On: Turn on your TV and select the correct HDMI/AV input source. The receiver should power on automatically or can be turned on using the remote control.
- Satellite Installation: Navigate to the 'Installation' menu (refer to Figure 6 for menu options). Perform a satellite search using options like 'Blind Search', 'Multi-satellite Search', 'Network Search', or 'Manual Search' to find available channels.
- Network Connection (Optional): If your model supports Wi-Fi or Ethernet, connect to your home network to enable internet-dependent features like YouTube and IKS services.

5. Operating Instructions
Your Kingbox K787 receiver is operated primarily using the included remote control. Familiarize yourself with the remote's layout (Figure 4).
5.1 Basic Functions
- Power: Press the red power button to turn the receiver on/off or to standby mode.
- Channel Navigation: Use the CH+/CH- buttons to change channels. Use the number pad for direct channel entry.
- Volume Control: Use the VOL+/VOL- buttons to adjust the volume.
- Menu: Press the MENU button to access the main system menu.
- OK: Confirms selections within menus.
- Exit: Returns to the previous screen or exits the menu.
5.2 Advanced Features
- Channel Manager: Organize, edit, or delete channels.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the receiver. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Ventilation: Ensure the receiver is placed in a well-ventilated area. Do not block the ventilation holes on the bottom (Figure 6) or sides of the device to prevent overheating.
- Software Updates: Periodically check for and install software updates via USB to ensure optimal performance and access to the latest features.
- Power Off: If the device will not be used for an extended period, disconnect it from the power outlet.
