  1. Connect the 24VDC power supply to the designated power input port on the laser source. Ensure correct polarity.
  2. Connect the control cables to the appropriate interface ports. These typically include signals for laser enable, modulation, and alarm feedback.
  3. Ensure all electrical connections are secure and properly insulated.

4.3 Optical Connections

The laser output is delivered via a fiber optic cable. Handle the fiber optic cable with extreme care to prevent damage.

  1. Carefully connect the fiber optic cable to the laser output port. Ensure the connector is clean and free of dust.
  2. Connect the other end of the fiber optic cable to your laser processing head or optical system.
  3. Avoid bending the fiber optic cable sharply or subjecting it to excessive tension.

5. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for safe and effective operation of the laser source.

5.1 Powering On

  1. Ensure all connections (electrical, optical, control) are correctly made and secure.
  2. Verify that the cooling system (if external to the laser source) is operational and providing adequate cooling.
  3. Turn on the main power supply to the laser source.
  4. Locate the control panel on the laser source.

5.2 Laser Operation

  1. Press the "ON" button to activate the laser source. The "LASER POWER ALARM" indicators (red, green, yellow LEDs) will show the status.
  2. Once the system is ready (e.g., green LED is stable), press the "START" button to enable laser emission.
  3. Adjust the laser power output using the connected control system. The power adjustment range is 10-100%.
  4. Monitor the laser power alarm indicators for any anomalies.

5.3 Powering Off

  1. Press the "OFF" button to disable laser emission.
  2. Turn off the main power supply to the laser source.
  3. Allow the system to cool down if necessary before disconnecting any components.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your laser source.

  • Cleaning: Keep the laser source and its connectors clean and free of dust. Use lint-free wipes and appropriate cleaning solutions for optical components.
  • Airflow: Ensure that the air vents are not obstructed to maintain proper air-cooling.
  • Cable Inspection: Periodically inspect all electrical and optical cables for wear, damage, or loose connections.
  • Environmental Control: Maintain the operating environment within the specified temperature and humidity ranges.
