Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Ensure the timer is dry before replacing the 2 AA batteries.
- Filter Cleaning: The internal filter can trap dirt particles. Clean the filter regularly and replace it if it becomes worn to maintain optimal water flow.
- Winter Storage: Do not use the timer when air temperature is below 40℉ (4.5℃). Remove the timer from the hose faucet and store it indoors to prevent potential freeze damage.
- Leak Prevention: Regularly check the connection between the timer and the faucet/hose. Ensure it is tightly attached. If leaks occur, consider adding a rubber washer or thread seal tape.
Troubleshooting
- Timer not connecting to WiFi: Ensure your WiFi network is 2.4GHz, as the device is not compatible with 5GHz networks. Check the distance between your router, WiFi hub, and timer.
- Water leakage: Verify that the timer is tightly attached to the faucet and hose. Inspect rubber washers for wear and replace if necessary. Consider using thread seal tape for a more secure connection.
- Timer not watering: Check battery levels and replace if low. Ensure the faucet is turned on. Verify that a watering schedule is active or try manual watering.
- Timer not responding in cold weather: The timer is designed for temperatures above 40.1℉ (4.5℃). If temperatures drop below this, the timer should be removed and stored indoors to prevent damage.
- No Bluetooth-only operation: The Insoma WiFi Automatic Sprinkle Timer requires the WiFi hub for remote control, which connects to your home's 2.4GHz WiFi network. It does not operate via Bluetooth alone for scheduling or remote control.
