4. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and hygienic operation of your pet feeder.

  1. Cleaning the Stainless Steel Bowl: The stainless steel feeding bowl is detachable and can be easily removed for cleaning. Wash it with mild soap and water, then rinse thoroughly and dry before reattaching.
  2. Cleaning the Food Hopper: Periodically empty the food hopper and wipe it clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Ensure it is completely dry before refilling with food.
  3. Cleaning the Dispensing Outlet: Check the dispensing outlet regularly for any food residue or blockages. Use a small brush or cloth to clear any debris. The strong impeller and sloppy design are intended to prevent food from getting stuck.
  4. Battery Check: Monitor the voltage indicator on the LCD display. Replace D-Cell batteries when the indicator shows low power to ensure continuous operation during power outages.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Feeder not dispensing food:
    • Check if the food hopper is empty.
    • Ensure the power adapter is securely connected or batteries are properly installed and charged.
    • Verify that the food kibble size is within the recommended 5-10mm range. Larger kibble may cause blockages.
    • Check the dispensing outlet for any obstructions.
  • Display not working:
    • Ensure the feeder is powered on and connected to a power source.
    • If using batteries, check their charge level and replace if necessary.
  • Food getting stuck:
    • Confirm that the food kibble size is appropriate (5-10mm).
    • Clean the dispensing mechanism and impeller to remove any accumulated residue.
