If connecting via Tuya/Smart Life directly, a Matter Hub is not required for normal operation.

5. Operation

5.1 Basic Temperature Control

You can adjust the temperature directly on the thermostat's touch screen or via the Smart Life/Tuya app. The thermostat features a classic frosted screen design with touch buttons for easy interaction.

The thermostat offers precise temperature control with a hysteresis of 0.5~10°C, a minimum temperature setting of 0.5°C, and adjustable upper and lower limits of 15~95°C.

5.2 Operating Modes

The thermostat supports four operating modes, selectable via the app:

  • Manual Mode: Set a constant temperature that the thermostat will maintain.
  • Programming Mode: Follows a pre-set weekly schedule.
  • Programming Temporary Mode: Temporarily overrides the programming mode until the next scheduled period.
  • Leave Mode: Maintains a lower temperature to save energy when you are away.

5.3 Weekly Programming

Set up a customized heating schedule for optimal comfort and energy efficiency. You can configure schedules for 5+2 days (weekdays + weekend), 6+1 days (6 working days + 1 rest day), or 7 days a week. Each day allows for up to 6 time slots with different temperature settings.

5.5 Temperature Calibration

If you notice a discrepancy between the thermostat's displayed temperature and the actual room temperature, you can calibrate it. The temperature correction range is -9.9°C to 9.9°C.

5.6 Anti-frost Function

The anti-frost function helps prevent pipes from freezing in cold weather. If the heating system is not active for an extended period, the thermostat will automatically activate heating for a short duration to maintain a safe minimum temperature.

5.7 Output Main Inverse

This function is used when connecting an actuator (normally closed type or normally open type). If the adjustment temperature is opposite to the desired effect, enabling this function allows for normal temperature adjustment. This ensures compatibility with various actuator types.

5.8 Child Lock

Activate the child lock feature to prevent accidental changes to settings by children or unauthorized users.
