4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Electrical Installation
WARNING: Electrical installation should only be performed by a qualified electrician. Ensure power is turned off at the circuit breaker before beginning any wiring.
The MIUCDA WT410Matter Smart Thermostat supports various heating systems. Refer to the appropriate wiring diagram below for your specific heating type.

Figure 3: Wiring diagrams for different heating systems. EH is for Electric Floor Heating (16A), BH is for Gas Boiler Heating (3A), WH is for Water Heating (Normally Open - NO), and Water Heating (Normally Closed - NC).
General Wiring Steps:
- Turn off power to your heating system at the main circuit breaker.
- Remove your old thermostat (if applicable) and label the wires.
- Connect the wires to the corresponding terminals on the MIUCDA WT410Matter thermostat base according to the diagram for your system.
- Mount the thermostat base to the wall using the provided screws.
- Attach the thermostat display unit to the base.
- Restore power at the circuit breaker.
4.2 App Installation and Network Connection
To utilize the smart features of your thermostat, you need to connect it to your home Wi-Fi network via the Smart Life or Tuya app.
- Download the "Smart Life" or "Tuya Smart" app from your smartphone's app store (available for iOS and Android).

4.3 Smart Home Platform Integration (Matter Hub Required)
For integration with Matter-compatible platforms like Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and SmartThings, a Matter Hub is required. This hub acts as a central point for your Matter devices.

Figure 4: Matter Hub requirements for various smart home platforms. Examples of compatible hubs include Echo Dot (3rd, 4th, 5th Gen), Echo Show, Nest Wi-Fi Pro, Google Home, Nest Audio, Nest Hub, Apple TV, HomePod Mini, HomePod, Samsung Station, and SmartThings Hub.
If connecting via Tuya/Smart Life directly, a Matter Hub is not required for normal operation.
5. Operation
5.1 Basic Temperature Control
You can adjust the temperature directly on the thermostat's touch screen or via the Smart Life/Tuya app. The thermostat features a classic frosted screen design with touch buttons for easy interaction.

Figure 5: Precise temperature control on the thermostat display.
The thermostat offers precise temperature control with a hysteresis of 0.5~10°C, a minimum temperature setting of 0.5°C, and adjustable upper and lower limits of 15~95°C.
5.2 Operating Modes
The thermostat supports four operating modes, selectable via the app:
- Manual Mode: Set a constant temperature that the thermostat will maintain.
- Programming Mode: Follows a pre-set weekly schedule.
- Programming Temporary Mode: Temporarily overrides the programming mode until the next scheduled period.
- Leave Mode: Maintains a lower temperature to save energy when you are away.

Figure 6: Selecting operating modes in the app.
5.3 Weekly Programming
Set up a customized heating schedule for optimal comfort and energy efficiency. You can configure schedules for 5+2 days (weekdays + weekend), 6+1 days (6 working days + 1 rest day), or 7 days a week. Each day allows for up to 6 time slots with different temperature settings.

Figure 7: Weekly programming interface in the app.
5.4 Backlight Brightness Adjustment
Adjust the backlight brightness of the thermostat display or turn it off completely to avoid disturbance, especially during sleep.

Figure 8: Adjusting backlight brightness via the app.
5.5 Temperature Calibration
If you notice a discrepancy between the thermostat's displayed temperature and the actual room temperature, you can calibrate it. The temperature correction range is -9.9°C to 9.9°C.

Figure 9: Temperature calibration setting in the app.
5.6 Anti-frost Function
The anti-frost function helps prevent pipes from freezing in cold weather. If the heating system is not active for an extended period, the thermostat will automatically activate heating for a short duration to maintain a safe minimum temperature.

Figure 10: Enabling the anti-frost function in the app.
5.7 Output Main Inverse
This function is used when connecting an actuator (normally closed type or normally open type). If the adjustment temperature is opposite to the desired effect, enabling this function allows for normal temperature adjustment. This ensures compatibility with various actuator types.
5.8 Child Lock
Activate the child lock feature to prevent accidental changes to settings by children or unauthorized users.

5.9 Group Control
If you have multiple MIUCDA WT410Matter thermostats in different rooms, you can group them together in the app to control them simultaneously or manage them more efficiently for specific scenarios.
