6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will ensure your dump cart remains in optimal condition for years of service.

  • Cleaning: The high-strength poly tub cleans easily. After each use, rinse the tub with water to remove dirt, debris, and corrosive materials.
  • Frame Inspection: Periodically check the powder-coated steel frame for any signs of rust, bends, or damage. Touch up any scratches to prevent rust.
  • Fastener Check: Regularly inspect all bolts, nuts, and other fasteners to ensure they are tight. Tighten any loose connections.
  • Tyre Maintenance: Check the pneumatic tyres for proper inflation and wear. Inflate to the recommended pressure if specified, or to a firm pressure for optimal performance.
  • Storage: Store the cart in a dry, covered area to protect it from harsh weather conditions, which can extend the life of the steel frame and plastic tub.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your dump cart, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:

  • Difficulty Pulling: Check tyre inflation. Ensure the load is not excessive or unevenly distributed. Inspect wheels for obstructions.
  • Tub Not Tipping: Ensure the tipping release lever is fully engaged. Check for any obstructions preventing the tub from pivoting.
  • Loose Components: Regularly check and tighten all bolts and nuts as part of routine maintenance.
  • Rust on Frame: The frame is powder-coated for rust resistance. If rust appears due to scratches, clean the area and apply a rust-inhibiting paint.
