1. Product Introduction

3. Setup Guide

3.1 Power Supply

  • The camera requires 8x AA batteries (not included).
  • Alternatively, an external 9V/1A DC power supply can be used (not included).

3.2 Micro SD Card Installation

  1. Ensure the camera is powered OFF before inserting or removing the Micro SD card.
  2. Insert the Micro SD card (up to 256GB, not included) into the designated slot.
  3. For first-time use, it is recommended to format the Micro SD card using the camera's settings.

3.3 APP Installation and Connection

The Suntekcam APP allows for live video streaming and remote control of the camera.

  1. Scan the QR code provided in the manual or on the product packaging to download the Suntekcam APP for iOS or Android.
  2. Open the Suntekcam APP.
  3. Select 'Network' and then 'Device ID'.
  4. Scan the Device ID QR Code located on your camera to add it to the APP.
  5. Fill in a desired Device Name and the default password '123456'.
  6. Bind the SIM card number within the APP settings.

3.4 Mounting the Camera

Use the provided Tree Bandage Belt to securely mount the camera to a tree or other suitable structure. Ensure the camera has a clear view of the area you wish to monitor.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Automatic Capture

The camera's PIR (Passive Infrared) sensor detects motion from animals or humans and automatically triggers to capture images or videos. The trigger speed is 0.2 seconds with 3 PIRs, and the triggering interval can be set from 1 to 30 seconds/minute (default 1 second).

4.2 Live Video and Remote Control

Through the Suntekcam APP, you can access live video streams from your camera and control its functions remotely. This allows for real-time monitoring and adjustment of settings from your mobile device.

4.3 4G Network Transmission

The HC900PRO features black 940nm (No Glow) LEDs for night vision, allowing it to capture clear black and white images and videos in complete darkness up to 65ft/20 meters without disturbing wildlife.

The camera can be set to capture images at predefined intervals over a period, creating time-lapse sequences for monitoring slow-changing events.

4.6 Password Security

5. Maintenance

  • Firmware Upgrade: Always ensure the camera has sufficient power during firmware upgrades to prevent interruptions that could lead to malfunctions.
  • Waterproof Rating: The camera is IP66 waterproof, offering resistance against rain, dust, and fog. However, avoid submerging the camera in water.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Camera not turning on: Check battery installation and charge level. Ensure external power supply is correctly connected if used.
  • No images/videos captured: Verify that the Micro SD card is inserted correctly and has sufficient free space. Ensure PIR sensitivity is set appropriately for the environment.
  • Poor image/video quality: Check lens for dirt or obstructions. Ensure camera is within optimal range for night vision if applicable.
  • APP connection issues: Confirm 4G network coverage in the camera's location. Re-check Device ID and password. Ensure SIM card is properly installed and activated.
  • Firmware upgrade failure: If a fault occurs after an improper upgrade, the camera may stop functioning. Contact customer support for assistance.
