- Gently pull the keycap off using a keycap puller.
- Use a switch puller to carefully remove the switch from the PCB.
- Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB and press firmly until it clicks into place.
- Replace the keycap.
Maintenance
Cleaning Your Keyboard
- Disconnect the keyboard from your device before cleaning.
- Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keycaps.
- For stubborn dirt, gently remove keycaps (using a keycap puller) and clean the switches and plate with a cotton swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol.
- Wipe the keycaps and keyboard surface with a soft, lint-free cloth.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
Battery Care
- To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the keyboard frequently.
- Charge the keyboard regularly, especially if it will be stored for an extended period.
- Store the keyboard in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures.
Troubleshooting
Connection Issues
- Keyboard not connecting wirelessly (2.4G/Bluetooth): Ensure the keyboard is in the correct mode (2.4G or BT) and fully charged. For 2.4G, ensure the USB receiver is securely plugged in. For Bluetooth, ensure your device's Bluetooth is enabled and the keyboard is in pairing mode. Try re-pairing the device.
- Intermittent connection: Move the keyboard closer to the receiver/device. Avoid obstructions and sources of interference (e.g., other wireless devices, large metal objects).
- Wired connection not working: Try a different USB port or cable. Ensure the cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and the computer.
Backlight Not Working/Incorrect
- Check if the backlight is turned off or set to minimum brightness using the keyboard's function keys.
- If specific keys have incorrect lighting, ensure no software conflicts are present.
- Perform a factory reset if available (refer to advanced functions in a full manual if provided).
Keys Not Responding
- Ensure the keyboard is properly connected and powered on.
- If only a few keys are affected, check if the switches are properly seated or try replacing them (due to hot-swappable design).
- If multiple keys are unresponsive, try connecting the keyboard to a different device to rule out a software or driver issue on your primary system.
