5. Maintenance
5.1 Memory Card Management
- Capacity: The device supports Micro SD/TF cards up to 256GB.
- Speed: A Class 10 or higher speed rating is recommended for optimal recording performance.
- Formatting: Regularly format the memory card (e.g., monthly) within the device settings to ensure stable recording and prevent data corruption. This will erase all data on the card, so back up important files first.
5.2 Cleaning
- Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the screen and device body.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the device.
- Keep the camera lenses clean for clear recording quality.
6. Troubleshooting
- Device not powering on / Screen flicker: Ensure all power connections are secure. Check the car charger and cable for any damage. If the issue persists, contact customer support for a free resend service for logistics damage or non-human damage.
- CarPlay/Android Auto not connecting: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both the device and your phone. For CarPlay, ensure your phone is connected to the device's Bluetooth. For Android Auto, confirm all necessary permissions (e.g., contacts, calls) are granted during pairing.
- Bluetooth audio issues: Note that CarPlay's Bluetooth does not connect directly to your car radio's Bluetooth. The device supports dual Bluetooth modes, meaning your phone connects to the DVR via Bluetooth, and the DVR can then connect to your car radio via Bluetooth (or FM/AUX) for audio output.
- Recording issues: Check if a compatible Micro SD/TF card (Class 10, up to 256GB) is inserted and properly formatted. Ensure loop recording is enabled in settings.
- Poor video quality: Clean the camera lenses. Ensure the resolution settings are appropriate.
- Screen Mirroring not working: For iOS, ensure your iPhone is connected to the DVR's Wi-Fi. For Android, verify your phone's Smart View/casting feature is compatible and correctly configured. Note that some Google phones may not be supported for Android Mirror.
