5. Operating Instructions

The FURUI PM-Pro allows you to read, decode, write, and format various RFID/NFC cards. The software interface provides comprehensive control over these operations.

5.1. Reading an IC/ID Card

  1. Place the IC or ID card on the corresponding "IC READ WRITE" or "ID READ WRITE" area of the device.
  2. In the PM-Pro software, navigate to the "LowFreqCard" or "HighFreqCard" tab depending on your card type.
  3. Click the "Read" button in the "Operate" section.
  4. The software will display "IC card read successfully!" or similar confirmation, along with the card's serial number and decoded data in the "Decode block" section.

5.2. Decoding Encrypted Cards

The PM-Pro can crack most card encryption. For encrypted IC cards (e.g., S50, S70):

  1. Place the encrypted IC card on the "IC READ WRITE" area.
  2. Select the appropriate card type (S50 or S70) under "Parameter".
  3. If you have a known key, enter it in the "Use key" field. Otherwise, you can attempt a "Brute Attack" by selecting a decoding level.
  4. Click the "Decode" button. The software will indicate "IC card decoding is complete!" upon success.
  5. The decoded data will be displayed in the "Decode block" section (D). The operation buttons (C) will become active for further actions.

Sections are labeled: B for decoding status, C for operation buttons (Decode, Read, Write, Format, Single Read, Single Write, Write to phone/band, Analysis, ImportDUM, Save data), and D for the decoded data blocks.

5.3. Writing to a Card

After reading or decoding a card, you can write the data to a compatible blank card (e.g., T5577, EM4305, Mifare UID CUID FUID).

  1. Ensure the data you wish to write is loaded or decoded in the software. Sector data can be edited directly in the "Decode block" section if needed.
  2. Place the blank writable card on the appropriate "IC READ WRITE" or "ID READ WRITE" area.
  3. Click the "Write" button in the "Operate" section.
  4. Confirm the write operation if prompted by the software.

5.4. Other Operations

  • Format: Use this function to format compatible writable cards.
  • Single Read/Single Write: For specific block operations.
  • Write to phone/band: Allows writing data to compatible NFC-enabled phones or bands (functionality may vary).
  • Analysis: For detailed analysis of card data.
  • ImportDUM/Save data: To import or save card data files.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Software Updates: Regularly check the manufacturer's website for software updates to ensure optimal performance and compatibility with new card types.
  • Avoid Physical Damage: Handle the device with care. Avoid dropping it or exposing it to excessive force.

7. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible Cause / Solution
Device not recognized by computer.
  • Ensure the USB cable is securely connected.
  • Try a different USB port.
  • Reinstall the device drivers.
  • Check if your operating system (Windows XP/7/8/10) is supported.
Software shows "Disconnected" status.
  • Verify the device is properly connected via USB.
  • Restart the software and/or your computer.
  • Check device manager for driver issues.
Cannot read or decode a card.
  • Ensure the card is placed correctly on the IC or ID read/write area.
  • Verify the card type and frequency are supported by the device.
  • For encrypted cards, try different decoding methods (e.g., brute force attack if applicable) or ensure correct keys are used.
  • The card might be damaged or incompatible.
Cannot write to a card.
  • Ensure you are using a compatible writable card (e.g., T5577, EM4305, Mifare UID CUID FUID).
  • The card might be write-protected or damaged.
  • Verify the data to be written is valid.

8. User Tips

  • Software Availability: The device relies on specific software for its functions. Ensure you have the correct software installed. If not provided with the device, check the manufacturer's website for download links.
  • Card Placement: For best results, ensure the card is placed flat and centered on the designated IC or ID read/write area during operations.
  • Backup Data: Always save important card data using the "Save data" function before attempting complex operations like formatting or writing, especially when experimenting with new card types.
  • Experiment with Decoding: For encrypted cards, if a direct key doesn't work, utilize the brute force attack options provided in the software, starting with lower decoding levels.
