IR Learning Function

The G21 PRO can learn infrared (IR) codes from other remote controls, allowing you to control basic functions (like power) of your TV or other devices with a single remote.

  1. Enter Learning Mode: Press and hold the 'Power' key on the G21 PRO remote control for a long time. The indicator light will change from solid to flashing, indicating that the remote has entered IR learning mode.
  2. Position Remotes: Place the G21 PRO remote control and the original remote control (from which you want to learn the code) top-to-top, ensuring they are close to each other.
  3. Learn Button: On the G21 PRO, press the button you wish to program (e.g., the 'Power' button). The indicator light will turn solid, signifying it is ready to learn.
  4. Transmit Code: On the original remote control, press the corresponding button (e.g., its 'Power' button). The indicator light on the G21 PRO will flash rapidly and then turn solid again, indicating successful learning.
  5. Exit Learning Mode: Press any other button on the G21 PRO that is not designated for IR learning, or wait for the learning mode to time out.

To clear all learned IR codes, press the 'Clear infrared code' key.

Backlight Function

The white backlight automatically activates when the remote control is powered on. To manually turn the backlight on or off, press the 'Power', 'Volume Up', and 'Volume Down' keys simultaneously.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the remote control. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Battery Care: If the remote control will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage. Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears.
  • Storage: Store the remote control in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting

Low Battery Reminder

When the battery voltage drops below 2V, the remote control enters a low voltage mode. While it can still function, pressing any button will cause the red indicator light to flash continuously, signaling that the batteries are low and need replacement.

Remote Not Responding

  • Check if the batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace them if necessary.
  • Ensure the USB receiver is securely plugged into your device.
  • Try re-pairing the remote control with the USB receiver as described in the 'Pairing the Remote Control' section.
  • Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote control and the USB receiver.

Voice Function Not Working

  • Ensure you are pressing and holding the 'Voice button' while speaking.
  • Check your device's settings to ensure microphone input is enabled and configured correctly.
  • Verify that the application you are using supports voice input.

IR Learning Failure

  • Ensure the G21 PRO and the original remote are placed very close, top-to-top, during the learning process.
  • Make sure the original remote's batteries are not low.
  • Repeat the IR learning steps carefully.
