4.7 Data Storage and PC Connection (TA612C Only)
The TA612A/B models can record up to 9999 groups of data, while the TA612C model can record 5000 groups. The TA612C model also features a USB interface for connecting to a PC.

For the TA612C, connect the device to a computer using the provided USB cable. This allows for exporting recorded data, viewing real-time data sheets, and generating charts using the dedicated PC software.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
Wipe the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the device is dry before storage or next use.
5.2 Battery Replacement
Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display to ensure accurate readings and proper device function. Refer to section 3.1 for battery installation instructions.
5.3 Storage
When not in use for extended periods, remove the batteries to prevent leakage. Store the device in a cool, dry place within the specified storage environment: -10°C to 50°C (14°F to 122°F) with maximum 70% relative humidity.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your TASI TA612 series thermometer, please refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- No display or device not turning on: Check battery installation and ensure batteries have sufficient charge. Try replacing with new batteries. For TA612C, try connecting via USB power.
- Inaccurate readings: Ensure thermocouple probes are correctly inserted and are of the appropriate type (K, J, or T). Check for any visible damage to the probes. Perform ADJ compensation if necessary.
- Alarm not functioning: Verify that upper and lower alarm limits are set correctly.
- USB connection issues (TA612C): Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the device and the PC. Check if the PC software is installed correctly and drivers are up to date.
If the problem persists, contact customer support for further assistance.
