4. Setup Instructions
The OLPAY TD-U4 series offers multiple connection methods. Please follow the instructions for your specific model.
4.1. Wired Connection (TD-U4, TD-U4W, TD-U4WB)
- Connect one end of the provided USB cable to the scanner's USB port.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to an available USB port on your computer or POS system.
- The scanner will emit a beep and the LED indicator will light up, indicating it is powered on and ready for use.
- The computer should automatically install the necessary drivers.

4.2. 2.4G Wireless Connection (TD-U4W, TD-U4WB)
- Ensure the scanner is charged.
- Plug the 2.4G USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer or POS system.
- Turn on the scanner. It should automatically pair with the receiver. A successful connection is usually indicated by a specific beep sound and/or LED indicator change.
- If the scanner does not connect automatically, refer to the quick start guide for pairing instructions (usually involves scanning a specific pairing barcode).

4.3. Bluetooth Connection (TD-U4WB only)
- Ensure the scanner is charged.
- Turn on the scanner and activate Bluetooth pairing mode (refer to the quick start guide for specific instructions, often involves scanning a "Bluetooth Pairing" barcode).
- On your host device (e.g., tablet, smartphone, computer with Bluetooth), go to Bluetooth settings and search for available devices.
- Select the OLPAY scanner from the list of devices to pair.
- A successful connection will be indicated by a beep and/or LED change on the scanner.

5. Operating Instructions
Once connected, the scanner operates in manual trigger mode.
- Power On: Press the trigger button to activate the scanner.
- Scanning: Aim the scanning window at the barcode you wish to read. Ensure the entire barcode is within the scanning area.
- Trigger: Press and hold the trigger button. The scanner will emit a light beam.
- Successful Scan: Upon a successful scan, the scanner will emit a beep sound and the LED indicator will flash. The scanned data will be transmitted to your connected device.
- Scanning Screen Codes: For barcodes on screens, adjust the screen brightness for optimal reading.
- Offline Storage (Wireless Models): If out of range or disconnected, the scanner can store barcodes internally. To upload stored data, reconnect the scanner and scan the "Upload Data" barcode (refer to the quick start guide for specific programming barcodes).
