6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the oscilloscope. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Probe Care: Handle probes carefully. Avoid bending or stressing the cables. Replace damaged probes immediately.
  • Software Updates: Periodically check the OWON official website for firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.

7. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Ensure the power cord is securely connected and the power outlet is functional. Check the power switch position.
  • No Waveform Display: Verify probes are correctly connected to the input channels and the signal source. Check trigger settings and vertical/horizontal scale adjustments. Ensure the input signal is within the oscilloscope's measurement range.
  • Unstable Waveform: Adjust the trigger level and trigger mode (e.g., Edge trigger for repetitive signals). Check the probe compensation.
  • Incorrect Measurements: Ensure probes are properly calibrated (compensated). Verify the correct attenuation factor is set on the oscilloscope if using attenuated probes.
  • PC Communication Issues: Ensure the USB cable is correctly connected. Install the necessary drivers and software on your PC. Refer to the OWON website for specific software and driver downloads.
