8. Maintenance

8.1. Cleaning Your Device

To clean your HOTWAV T7S, use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the screen and casing. Ensure all ports are closed before cleaning with moisture.

8.2. Battery Care

  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Do not expose the device to extreme heat or cold, as this can degrade battery performance.
  • If the device will not be used for an extended period, charge it to around 50% before storing.

8.3. General Care

While the T7S is rugged, it is not indestructible. Avoid unnecessary drops or impacts. Ensure port covers are securely closed when near water or dust to maintain its IP ratings.

9.2. Poor Signal or Connectivity

  • Check if your SIM card is correctly inserted and activated.
  • Restart the device.
  • Try moving to an area with better network coverage.
  • For Wi-Fi issues, restart your router or try connecting to a different network.

9.3. Battery Draining Quickly

  • Reduce screen brightness.
  • Close unused apps running in the background.
  • Disable Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or GPS when not in use.
  • Check battery usage in Settings to identify power-hungry apps.

  • Maximize Storage: Take full advantage of the 2TB expandable storage by adding a TF card for all your photos, videos, and documents.
  • Battery Optimization: For extended use, manage background applications and adjust screen brightness. The 6280mAh battery is designed for long periods, but smart usage can prolong it further.
  • Ruggedness Awareness: While the T7S is built to military standards (MIL-STD-810H) and has high IP ratings (IP68/IP69K), it's important to remember that no device is completely indestructible. Treat it with care to ensure its longevity, especially by keeping port covers sealed in wet or dusty conditions.
  • Outdoor Tools: Explore the built-in toolbox features like the compass, flashlight, and height measurement for your outdoor activities.
