5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning and Storage

  • Keep the device clean and free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
  • Store the laser level and its accessories in the provided hard-shell carrying case when not in use to protect it from impacts and environmental factors.
  • Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.

5.2 IP55 Protection

The FIRECORE Rotary Laser Level has an IP55 rating, meaning it is protected against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction. While it offers good protection, it is not designed for submersion in water.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Device not powering on: Ensure the battery is fully charged and correctly installed. Check the power adapter and charging cable if charging issues are suspected.
  • Laser beam is not stable or flashing: The device may be outside its self-leveling range (±5°). Reposition the device on a flatter surface or adjust the tripod.
  • Reduced working distance: Ensure pulse mode is activated and the laser receiver is being used correctly. Environmental factors like bright sunlight can also affect range.
  • Remote control not responding: Check the remote control's battery. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the laser level.

8. User Tips

  • Receiver Readings: When using the laser receiver, pay attention to whether it indicates precise level or if it provides a measurement of inequality (e.g., in centimeters or millimeters) to help you adjust the height of your measuring rod accurately. Some receivers offer both visual and audible cues for precise leveling.
  • Battery Life: To maximize battery life, especially in colder conditions, ensure the battery is fully charged before use. The Lithium-ion battery is designed for efficient operation at subzero temperatures.
  • Visibility: For better visibility of the laser beam in bright conditions or over long distances, always use the provided laser enhancing glasses and the laser receiver.
