11. Troubleshooting (FAQ)

Q1: Why does the device restart after unplugging the USB when the battery and USB are used simultaneously?
When USB usage is detected, the power supply from the battery source will be cut off to ensure battery life. After unplugging the USB, the device will restart to select battery power again.
Q2: Why does the backlight not light up when using battery power and turning on WiFi?
To extend battery life, the Wi-Fi function is turned on, and the backlight is forcefully turned off for better performance when only battery power is used. When the device detects a connection to USB or 220V power, the backlight function will be turned back on.
Q3: Why does using 220V power supply slightly increase the room temperature by 2-3 °C?
When using 220V power supply, internal components generate heat, causing temperature detection to be 2-3 °C higher than the actual temperature. Users can calibrate the temperature by -2 °C through the advanced option (third item - temperature compensation) on the device. Adjustments can also be made through the app.
Q4: Why does the device not reconnect after being powered on by a battery and connected to WIFI?
When using battery power, Wi-Fi is not turned on by default to ensure battery life. If the user has already connected to Wi-Fi, press and hold the device for 5 seconds to turn on Wi-Fi, and it will automatically reconnect.
Q5: Why do devices always timeout when searching for them?
Please ensure that your home network is in the 2.4GHz frequency band when adding the device. If it is in the 5GHz frequency band, the device will be unable to be added.

12. User Tips

  • Opening the Back Cover: To open the back cover for wiring or battery installation, gently pry it open using a small flat-head screwdriver in the designated slots. Refer to the installation section for visual guidance.
  • Optimal Wi-Fi Connection: For reliable Wi-Fi connectivity, ensure your router is within 5 meters of the thermostat during initial setup and operation.
