2. Setup and Installation

- Door Thickness: Fits door thicknesses from 35mm to 55mm (1-3/8" to 2-1/8").

2.2 Battery Installation
The lock requires 8 AA batteries (not included). Ensure batteries are inserted with correct polarity. The lock will provide a low battery alert when replacement is needed.

3.1 Unlocking Methods
The Arpha D280W offers multiple ways to unlock your door:
- Fingerprint: The AI self-learning biometric fingerprint recognition system identifies your fingerprint in 0.3 seconds with 99.9% accuracy, unlocking the door in 1 second. The lock supports up to 50 unique fingerprints.
- Passcode: Use the keypad to enter your personalized passcode. The lock supports over 100 PIN codes.
- App Remote Control: Unlock your door remotely from anywhere using the smartphone app, provided the lock is connected to 2.4G WiFi.
- Mechanical Key: For traditional access or in case of emergency, use the provided mechanical keys. Spare keys can be copied by professional locksmiths, but the lock cannot be rekeyed.

- Anti-Peeking Password: To prevent others from guessing your code, you can add random numbers (up to 16 digits) before or after your correct passcode. The lock will still recognize the correct sequence within the longer entry.

- Auto-Lock: Enable the auto-lock feature and set a timer from 5 to 99 seconds. The door will automatically lock after the set time, preventing accidental unlocks.
- One-Touch Lock: The keypad door lock offers a one-touch lock feature for quick and easy securing of your door.

3.4 Silent Mode
In silent mode, the button beeps are muted. This mode is disabled by default after resetting the lock. Refer to the app settings for enabling/disabling silent mode.
