1. Introduction

The Easythreed K7 and K9 are consumer-grade mini 3D printers designed for ease of use, making them ideal for household education, DIY enthusiasts, students, and children. These printers feature a compact design, quiet operation, and a one-key printing control for a simplified 3D printing experience.

The K7 and K9 models come with their own slicing software, Easyware K7, which includes a unique auto-slice function to streamline the printing process. They support common 3D model file formats and use PLA filament.

3. Setup Guide

Follow these steps to assemble and prepare your 3D printer for its first use.

3.1. Assembly

  1. Install the X.Z whole set to the base: Carefully align the X.Z axis assembly with the base unit. Secure it in place using the 4 provided screws.

  3. Install Filament holder: Attach the filament holder to the designated slot on the printer.

4. Operating Instructions

The Easythreed K7/K9 printers are designed for simple operation, featuring one-key printing control.

4.1. Slicing Software

Your printer comes with Easyware K7 slicing software, which offers an auto-slice function. You can also use other compatible slicing software like CURA or Simplify3D.

4.2. Printing Process

  1. Prepare Model: Use the Easyware K7 software (or CURA/Simplify3D) to slice your .Stl or .obj 3D model file into a .gcode file.
  2. Transfer File: Save the .gcode file onto the TF card.
  3. Insert TF Card: Ensure the TF card is inserted into the printer's card slot.
  4. Power On: Turn on the printer using the power switch.
  5. Start Print: For K9 models, press the 'One Key Print' button. For K7 models, use the button controls to select and start your print. The printer will automatically begin the printing process.

4.3. Printing Performance

The Easythreed K7/K9 printers offer excellent printing performance with features like mute printing and precise control. They operate at a low noise level, typically below 60 dB, ensuring they won't disturb your work or sleep.

5. Maintenance

  • Check Filament Path: Ensure the filament path from the spool to the extruder is clear and free of obstructions.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Filament not extruding:
    • Check if the nozzle is clogged. Clean it if necessary.
    • Ensure the extruder temperature is set correctly for PLA (180-230℃).
    • Verify that the filament is loaded correctly and not tangled.
  • Print not sticking to the build platform:
    • Ensure the build platform is clean and free of grease or dust.
    • Check if the build platform is level.
    • Adjust the initial layer height or print speed in your slicing software.
  • Poor print quality (e.g., layers not adhering, rough surface):
    • Check filament quality and ensure it's dry.
    • Adjust print speed, layer thickness, or temperature settings in your slicing software.
    • Ensure the printer is on a stable surface to minimize vibrations.
  • Printer not responding:
