1. Introduction
This document serves as the instruction manual for the Y&H Hybrid Solar Inverter, available in 4.2KW and 6.2KW models. This multi-function inverter/charger integrates the capabilities of an inverter, solar charger, and battery charger to provide reliable, uninterruptible power support. Its user-friendly LCD display and accessible buttons allow for easy configuration of settings such as battery charging current, AC/solar charger priority, and acceptable input voltage, adapting to various application needs.
2. Important Safety Notes
Do not turn on each input at the same time. It is recommended to allow 3 minutes for the inverter to stabilize after each input connection.
Inverter Startup Sequence:
- Connect the Battery.
- Connect AC input or PV input.
- Connect the Load.
Inverter Shutdown Sequence:
- Disconnect the Load.
- Disconnect AC input or PV input.
- Turn off the inverter and disconnect the battery.
Critical Warnings:
- In utility bypass mode, the device cannot be connected to two-phase 220V AC (i.e., L1-L2 cannot be connected to L-N).
- In inverter mode, if the device is connected to two-phase 220V, do not select utility priority for the output priority to avoid safety hazards.
- Do not connect the AC output of the device to an autotransformer, as this may affect the normal service life of the device.
- This inverter provides a single-phase/hot leg 230V output and cannot output 110V AC directly.
- This Y&H off-grid solar inverter all-in-one does not support parallel operation and does not support phase separation.

3.3. Battery Compatibility
The inverter supports various battery types including Lead-Acid (Sealed, AGM, Gel, Flooded) and Lithium batteries. For Lithium Battery BMS Communication, the Battery BMS must be PylonTech.

3.4. Wi-Fi Communication
The inverter features Wi-Fi communication, allowing you to monitor its operation remotely via an app on your iOS or Android device.

4. Operating Modes
4.1. Charging Modes
The inverter offers four distinct charging modes to optimize energy use:

- CSO Solar First: Prioritizes solar power for charging.
- Utility First: Prioritizes utility grid power for charging.
- SNU Solar and Utility (Default): Uses both solar and utility power for charging, with solar as the primary source.
- OSO Only Solar: Charges exclusively from solar power.
4.2. Discharge Modes
The inverter provides three discharge modes to manage power distribution:
- SUB Solar First (Default): Prioritizes solar power for loads.
- USB Utility First: Prioritizes utility grid power for loads.
- SBU Priority: Prioritizes solar, then battery, then utility for loads.
4.3. Dual Load Output Power
The inverter is equipped with dual load outputs. The behavior of these outputs is dependent on battery voltage:

The main output port will stop working when the battery voltage falls below a user-defined set range. In this scenario, only the second output port will continue to function. The typical setting range for this cutoff is 20V - 23V.
5. Maintenance
The inverter features a built-in anti-dust kit designed to protect internal components from dust accumulation, contributing to its longevity and reliable operation in harsh environments. Regular visual inspection of the unit and its connections is recommended to ensure optimal performance and safety.
6. Troubleshooting and Protection
The Y&H Hybrid Solar Inverter incorporates comprehensive 360° protection features to safeguard the unit and connected systems:

- Short Circuit Protection: Prevents damage from short circuits.
- Over-Load Protection: Protects against excessive load demands.
- Over Charge Protection: Safeguards batteries from overcharging.
- Over Current Protection: Limits current to safe levels.
- Backfill Protection: Prevents reverse current flow.
- Over Voltage Protection: Protects against excessively high voltage.
- Under Voltage Protection: Protects against dangerously low voltage.
- Over-Temperature Protection: Shuts down the unit if internal temperatures become too high.
If a fault indicator illuminates, consult the LCD display for specific error codes and refer to the full product manual for detailed troubleshooting steps.
