2. Setup
2.1 Initial Winding
Your PAGANI DESIGN PD-1736 watch is powered by a Seiko NH39 automatic mechanical movement. It winds itself through the motion of your wrist. If the watch has stopped or is running low on power, it can be manually wound:
- Unscrew the crown counter-clockwise until it pops out to the first position.
- Turn the crown clockwise approximately 20-30 times. This will provide enough power reserve to start the watch.
- Push the crown back in and screw it down clockwise to ensure water resistance.
2.2 Setting Time and Date
To set the time and date:
- Unscrew the crown counter-clockwise until it pops out.
- Pull the crown out to the second position (farthest from the case).
- Turn the crown to adjust the hour and minute hands. Rotate the hands clockwise until the correct time is displayed. Note the 24-hour sub-dial for AM/PM indication.
- Push the crown back in to the first position and screw it down clockwise to secure.

2.3 Adjusting the Strap/Bracelet
The watch is available with either a silicone strap or a stainless steel bracelet. For silicone straps, adjust the buckle to fit your wrist comfortably. For stainless steel bracelets, links may need to be added or removed by a professional watchmaker to achieve the correct fit.
3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Timekeeping
Once properly wound and set, your automatic watch will keep time as long as it is worn regularly. The movement of your wrist will keep the mainspring wound. If the watch is not worn for an extended period, it may stop and require manual winding and time setting.
3.2 Water Resistance (200M / 20 Bar)
The PD-1736 is rated for 200 meters (20 Bar) of water resistance, making it suitable for professional marine activity and serious surface water sports, but not saturation diving. Always ensure the crown is fully screwed down before exposing the watch to water.

3.3 Unidirectional Rotating Bezel
The watch features a unidirectional rotating bezel, commonly used for timing dives or other events. To use:
- Rotate the bezel counter-clockwise to align the zero marker with the minute hand.
- The elapsed time can then be read from the bezel against the minute hand. The unidirectional design prevents accidental increases in timed duration.
3.4 Luminous Display
The hands and hour markers are coated with luminous material, providing visibility in low-light conditions. Exposure to light will charge the luminescence.

4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
- Wipe the watch case and crystal with a soft, dry cloth regularly to remove dust and fingerprints.
- For water-resistant models, after exposure to saltwater, rinse the watch with fresh water and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
- Clean silicone straps with mild soap and water. For stainless steel bracelets, a soft brush can be used to clean between links.
4.2 Environmental Considerations
- Avoid exposing your watch to extreme temperatures (above 60°C / 140°F or below 0°C / 32°F) or sudden temperature changes.
- Keep the watch away from strong magnetic fields (e.g., speakers, refrigerators, mobile phones) as these can affect the accuracy of mechanical movements.
- Avoid direct contact with solvents, detergents, perfumes, and cosmetic products, as they can damage the case, strap, or gaskets.
4.3 Regular Servicing
Mechanical watches benefit from periodic servicing (typically every 3-5 years) by a qualified watchmaker to ensure optimal performance and longevity. This includes cleaning, lubrication, and adjustment of the movement.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1 Watch Has Stopped
- Cause: Insufficient power reserve.
- Solution: Manually wind the watch by unscrewing the crown and turning it clockwise 20-30 times. Wear the watch regularly to allow the automatic movement to recharge.
5.2 Time Inaccuracy
- Cause: Exposure to magnetic fields, shock, or need for servicing.
- Solution: Demagnetize the watch (can be done by a watchmaker). Avoid dropping the watch. If inaccuracy persists, consider professional servicing.
5.3 Condensation Under Crystal
- Cause: Sudden temperature change or compromised water resistance.
- Solution: If minor, it may dissipate. If persistent or severe, immediately take the watch to a professional watchmaker for inspection to prevent internal damage.

7. User Tips
- Consistent Wear: For optimal performance of the automatic movement, wear your watch daily or use a watch winder if you rotate watches.
- Crown Security: Always double-check that the crown is fully screwed down before any water exposure to maintain water resistance.
- Bezel Use: The unidirectional bezel is a practical tool for timing. Remember it only rotates counter-clockwise to prevent accidental over-timing.
- Lume Charging: For maximum glow in the dark, expose the watch dial to a bright light source for a few minutes before entering a dark environment.
