2. Safety Information

2.1 Warnings

  • Do not view the emissions for long periods of time with magnified lenses.
  • Avoid direct sunlight to the eyepiece to avoid damaging the eyepiece display/internal components.
  • The equipment contains electrical and/or electronic components and therefore cannot be disposed of in the same way as ordinary household waste. These wastes should be disposed of at community-provided waste collection points.

2.2 Precautions

  • This rangefinder is designed for long-distance measurements, with a minimum measurement distance of 5 meters.
  • Glass can reflect the laser beam and affect measurement results. Do not measure through glass during use.
  • In low-light conditions at night, additional lighting is required to view the readings, as the eyepiece display is not illuminated.
  • Rain, fog, and dusty conditions may obstruct laser transmission and affect the maximum measurement distance. When measuring objects, select light-colored buildings as the farthest target as possible. Complex vegetation on mountains can obstruct the reflection of laser signals.

4. Setup

4.1 Battery and Charging

The device is equipped with a Lithium battery. The battery indicator is red when charging and green when fully charged. Use only a 5V 1A or 5V 2A charger and Laptop USB for charging. Improper chargers may damage the device. If not used for a long time, fully charge the battery and store it in a dry environment.

4.2 Initial Power On and Focusing

Press the Power Button to turn on the device. To focus, observe the target via the eyepiece and adjust the eyepiece knob until the target is clear.

5. Operation

5.1 Unit Switching

To switch between Yards (Y), Meters (M), or Feet (F), long press and hold the Power Button and the Mode (M) Button together for 3-5 seconds. The unit will switch, and you can confirm the change through the eyepiece display.

5.2 Operating Modes

Short press the Mode (M) Button to switch between modes.

Mode 1: Tournament Mode (No Slope)

This mode measures the straight-line distance to the target. It is suitable for tournament play where slope compensation is not allowed.

  1. Power on the device.
  2. Select the target object and aim the target.
  3. Press the Power Button to measure.
  4. The data will be displayed on the screen.

Mode 2: Golf Distance Compensation Mode (Training Mode)

This mode provides golf compensated distance, helping golfers account for elevation changes. A "golf flag" icon will appear on the display in this mode.

  1. Power on the device.
  2. Press the Mode (M) Button to enter training mode.
  3. Select the target object and aim the target.
  4. Press the Power Button to measure.
  5. The data, including line of sight distance, slope distance (play distance), and slope percentage, will be displayed on the screen.
Slope Compensation Diagram

Image: Diagram illustrating slope compensation calculation.

Slope Principle: The rangefinder automatically calculates the elevation to provide an adjusted distance. If the slope is positive, the hitting distance should be greater than the straight-line distance. If the slope is negative, the hitting distance should be less than the straight-line distance.

5.3 Flagpole Lock & Vibration

This feature can be used in all modes. To activate:

  1. Long press the Power Button to enter scanning mode.
  2. Aim around the flag or across from the background to the flag.
  3. Slowly move the Target Indicator from the background to the flagpole.
  4. Once the flagpole is successfully locked, the rangefinder will vibrate and display the measurement data.

Flag lock distance is effective within 300 yards.

5.4 Memory Function

The device has a mode memory function. Each time you turn it on, it will automatically return to the last used mode.

5.5 Auto Power Off

The device will automatically power off after 30 seconds of no operation to conserve battery life.

6. Maintenance

  • The lens of the laser rangefinder is multi-coated for high light transmission. To clean, gently remove fingerprints and dirt with a lens cleaning cloth in a circular motion.
  • When using cleaning solution, apply it to the wipe cloth, not directly onto the lens.
  • Do not store the device outside the temperature range of -20°C to 50°C.
  • If the device will not be used for a long time, pack it in a protective case and store it in a dry environment.
  • This device contains a magnet; keep it away from magnet-sensitive equipment.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your rangefinder, please review the following common problems and solutions:

  • Inaccurate Readings: Ensure you are not measuring through glass, as it can reflect the laser beam. Also, check for rain, fog, or dusty conditions that might obstruct laser transmission. For distant targets, try aiming at light-colored buildings.
  • Display Not Visible in Low Light: The eyepiece display is not illuminated. Use additional lighting if viewing readings in low-light conditions at night.
  • Device Not Powering On: Check the battery level. If the battery indicator is red, charge the device using the provided USB cable and a compatible 5V 1A or 5V 2A charger.
  • Difficulty Locking onto Flagpole: Ensure you are within the 300-yard range for flagpole lock. Try scanning slowly from the background towards the flagpole.

If problems persist, please contact customer support for further assistance.

9. User Tips

  • Magnetic Mount: Utilize the integrated magnetic strip to easily attach the rangefinder to a golf cart or other metal surfaces for quick access.
  • Slope Compensation: Remember that the slope compensation feature (Mode 2) provides an adjusted distance for club selection. For official tournaments, switch to Mode 1 (Tournament Mode) where slope compensation is typically not permitted.
  • Clear View: Always ensure a clear line of sight to your target. Obstructions like dense foliage or fog can interfere with accurate readings.
  • Battery Management: Keep the device charged, especially before extended use. If storing for a long period, ensure it's fully charged to maintain battery health.
