Setup and Installation

Easy Installation via E26/E27 Universal Screws

The IMOU Bulb Camera is designed for simple installation, fitting into standard E26/E27 light bulb sockets. No complicated wiring is required.

1. Ensure the power to the light socket is turned off at the circuit breaker.
2. Carefully screw the Bulb Camera into any compatible E26/E27 light socket.
3. Tighten the camera securely until it is firmly in place.
4. Restore power to the light socket. The camera will power on and begin its startup sequence.

Built-in Wi-Fi Hotspot Setup (Soft AP Mode)

The camera supports Soft AP mode, allowing you to stream video and play recordings even without an internet connection, directly from your smartphone.

1. Step 1: Press the camera's reset button twice. The camera will enter Soft AP mode.
2. Step 2: Connect your smartphone to the camera's Wi-Fi hotspot signal. The Wi-Fi network name will typically be "IMOU-XXXX" (where XXXX is part of the device's serial number). The password is the Safety Code found on the device label.
3. Step 3: Open the Imou Life App, go to "Me" -> "Tool" -> "Lan Live", and follow the on-screen guide in the App to complete the setup.

Operating Instructions

Panoramic Pan & Tilt for 360° Protection

The Bulb Cam offers extensive coverage with its pan and tilt functionality:

• Horizontal Rotation: 0° to 340°
• Vertical Rotation: 0° to 90°

You can control the camera's movement remotely via the Imou Life App to achieve a full 360° view of your surroundings.

Night Vision Modes

The Bulb Cam allows you to customize night vision settings based on your needs:

• Smart Mode: Automatically switches between infrared and full-color based on detected motion.

Light Bulb Auto On/Off

The integrated light bulb can be scheduled to turn on/off automatically. It can also be linked to the camera's detection system, activating the light and siren when a target is detected to deter intruders.

Customized Voice

The camera supports customized voice messages. You can record up to 3 voice pieces, each no more than 10 seconds, to be played as alerts or greetings.

Maintenance

External Reset Button

To reset the camera to its factory default settings:

1. Locate the reset button on the camera body (refer to the diagram below).
2. Press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds.
3. The camera will restart, and its settings will be restored to default. This operation does not require opening the camera cover.

Common Issues and Solutions

• Camera not powering on: Ensure the light socket has power and the camera is securely screwed in. Try a different E26/E27 socket if available.
• Unable to connect to Wi-Fi: Make sure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. Ensure the camera is within range of your router. Try resetting the camera and re-attempting the Wi-Fi setup.
• Poor image quality: Clean the camera lens. Check your internet connection speed. Ensure there are no obstructions blocking the camera's view.
• Frequent false alarms: Adjust the detection sensitivity and detection zones in the Imou Life App. Ensure the AI Human & Vehicle Detection is enabled if you wish to filter out other movements.
• Two-way audio issues: Check the volume settings on your smartphone and in the Imou Life App. Ensure there are no obstructions blocking the microphone or speaker on the camera.
