- Power Indicator: Battery level display.
- Main Display Area: Shows measurement results.
4. Setup
4.1 Initial Charging
The device comes with a rechargeable lithium battery. Before first use, or if the battery is low, connect the included Type-C data cable to the charging port and a suitable USB power adapter.

5. Operation
5.1 Power On/Off
- Power On: Short press the ▲ MEAS button. The instrument will turn on, and the laser point will activate automatically. The screen will display the default measurement mode. If no operation is performed for 30 seconds, the laser will turn off automatically.
- Power Off: Press and hold the C button to turn off the instrument from any state.
5.2 Unit Switching
The default unit after power-on is meters (m). To switch units, long press the ▣ button. The sequence for unit switching is: meters (m) → inches (in) → feet and inches (’ ”) → feet (ft).
5.3 Measurement Modes
The device supports various measurement modes. Short press the ▣ button to cycle through the modes:
- Single Measurement: Default mode. Aim the laser dot at the target and short press ▲ MEAS. The result appears instantly.
- Continuous Measurement: Long press ▲ MEAS to enter. The device will continuously measure and display real-time distance, showing MAX and MIN values.
- Area Measurement: After selecting this mode, measure two sides of the target. The device will calculate and display the area.
- Volume Measurement: After selecting this mode, measure three sides (length, width, height) of the target. The device will calculate and display the volume.
- Pythagorean Measurement: For indirect height or distance measurements.
- First, place the rangefinder horizontally and measure the base.
- Then, keeping the reference plane unchanged, aim the laser at the lower end of the target and measure.
- Finally, aim the laser at the upper end of the target and measure the hypotenuse. The device will calculate and display the height.
- Storage Mode: Displays stored measurement data.
- Reference Switching Mode: Allows switching between front and rear measurement references.

5.4 Reference Switching (Front/Rear)
The tape measure supports two baseline measurements: front reference and rear reference. The default is back reference.
- To Switch Reference: Put the equipment into Storage Mode (AEF is displayed on screen). Then, short press the ▲ MEAS button for 3 seconds to toggle between front and rear reference.
- Rear Reference Measurement: The measurement is taken from the back of the device. The displayed length is the measured length + the length of the device itself.
- Front Reference Measurement: The measurement is taken from the front of the device. The displayed length is the direct measured length.
5.5 Data Storage
The instrument can automatically record and store the last 30 measurements. In Storage Mode, short press ▲ MEAS to view records one by one. To clear the last set of data, short press C.

6. Maintenance
- Avoid storing the instrument in high temperature and high humidity environments for extended periods.
- Keep the surface of the instrument clean. Use a damp soft cloth to wipe off dust. Do not use corrosive detergents.
- The laser window and focusing mirror can be cleaned in the same manner as optical surfaces.
7. Troubleshooting
Refer to the table below for common error codes and their solutions:
| Message | Reason | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Err16 | Signal error | Poor measurement conditions. Improve conditions (e.g., increase object reflectivity, reduce ambient light, reduce distance). |
| Err10 | Battery voltage is too low | Recharge the battery. |
| Err15 | Out of range | Ensure measurement is within the specified range. |
| Err26 | Miscalculation | Out of range, or wrong hook. Review measurement technique. |
