2. Setup and Connection

  1. Connect the Tester: Connect the red alligator clip to the positive (+) terminal of the 12V or 24V battery. Connect the black alligator clip to the negative (-) terminal of the battery.

3. Operating Instructions

The AUTOOL BT460 offers four primary testing functions: Battery Test, Cranking Test, Charging Test, and Maximum Load Test. Navigate the menu using the direction buttons and confirm selections with the 'OK' button.

3.1. Battery Test

This function assesses the overall health of the battery.

  1. From the main menu, select 'Battery Test'.
  2. Choose the type of battery to be tested (e.g., Regular-Flooded, AGM Spiral, AGM Flat Plate, EFB, GEL).

  1. From the main menu, select 'Max Load Test'.
  2. Turn on all available electrical appliances in the car (e.g., headlights, air conditioning, radio).
