1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the FIREBAT MN56 Mini PC. This compact and powerful desktop computer is designed for multimedia use, offering strong multi-core processing performance and a smooth user experience. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting your device.

Important Safety Information

Please be advised that this product comes with the Windows operating system pre-installed. It has undergone rigorous testing prior to shipment. Therefore, we recommend against reinstalling the operating system unless absolutely necessary to prevent potential compatibility issues between the system and the product.

Customers are prohibited from modifying the machine BIOS system. If you modify the BIOS yourself, we do not support after-sales service for issues arising from such modifications. This is a very important statement.

4. Setup Guide

4.1 Connecting Peripherals

Before powering on your Mini PC, connect all necessary peripherals:

  • Display: Connect your monitor(s) to the HDMI 2.1, DP 1.4, or USB-C (DisplayPort Alt Mode) ports. The Mini PC supports triple screen display.
  • Keyboard & Mouse: Connect your USB keyboard and mouse to the available USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 ports.
  • Audio: Connect speakers or headphones to the 3.5mm Audio Jack.
  • Network: For a wired connection, connect an Ethernet cable to one of the 2.5G RJ45 LAN ports. For wireless, ensure your Wi-Fi network is available.
  • Power: Connect the power adapter to the Mini PC's power input (Type-C or DC, depending on your specific model) and then to a power outlet.

4.2 Initial Power On and Windows Setup

  1. Power On: Press the power button on the front of the Mini PC.
  2. Boot into System: When you start up your PC for the first time, you will be guided to configure your Windows operating system.
  3. Windows Setup: Follow the on-screen instructions. Wait a few minutes until the installation interface appears.
  4. Select Language/Country (Region): Choose your preferred language and region.
  5. Select Input Method: You can choose to "skipped" this step if desired.
  6. Networking: After selecting Wi-Fi, enter your password to connect. Alternatively, plug in a network cable for a wired connection. Networking will be updated automatically, and the update process may take a long time. (Skipping network connections is strongly recommended for faster setup).
  7. Accept License Agreement: Review and accept the Windows license agreement.
  8. Set User Name and Password: Once the installation process is complete, the desktop will appear.

4.3 Connecting to Wi-Fi

  1. Connect your Mini PC to the Wi-Fi network using the following steps.
  2. Select the Wi-Fi icon from the taskbar.
  3. Click the Wi-Fi icon to turn on Wi-Fi.
  4. Select an access point in the list of available Wi-Fi connections.
  5. You may be prompted to enter a security key to activate a Wi-Fi connection.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Operation

  • Power On/Off: Press the power button to turn the Mini PC on or off. To force off, press and hold the power button for 4-6 seconds.
  • Restart: Use the Windows Start menu to restart the system.
  • Sleep/Hibernate: The system can enter sleep or hibernation mode to save power.

5.2 RGB Lighting Control

The Mini PC features an RGB atmosphere light. Use the dedicated Light button on the front panel to cycle through different lighting modes or turn the lights off.

5.3 BIOS Settings

To enter the BIOS settings, press the power button and repeatedly press the "DEL" or "ESC" key during startup. Under normal circumstances, the default BIOS settings apply in most cases to ensure optimum performance. Do not change the default BIOS settings unless you are an advanced user or instructed by technical support. Incorrect BIOS settings may cause instability or startup failure.

5.4 Network Connectivity

6. Maintenance

6.1 General Precautions

  • Please take extra care when executing operations that may cause damage or loss of data.
  • Pay attention to virus protection during the use of the Mini PC and try to use virus-free software.
  • Please turn off the Mini PC and disconnect the power supply if you don't use it for a long time.
  • Do not switch on and off the Mini PC frequently in a short period of time. It is recommended that the interval between two startup times should be at least 10 seconds, preferably not less than 60 seconds.
  • Pay attention to moisture-proof, and keep the use environment clean and sterilized. If there is dust on the host machine, please wipe it with a dry soft cloth.
  • Avoid direct exposure to strong light to the Mini PC, and do not approach strong magnetic fields.
  • Do not get water, food, or other fluids onto the Mini PC, and do not pull the data cable, power cord, etc.

6.2 Cooling System

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Common Issues and Solutions

  • Q: Don't turn on?
    A: 1. Make sure the AC power adapter is connected to the computer and the power cable plug is plugged into a working power outlet.
    2. The computer has been started (press the power button again to confirm whether it is started normally).
  • Q: When the computer is started, nothing is displayed?
    A: 1. Check whether the HDMI and DP cables are properly connected.
    2. Check that the display input mode is correct.
  • Q: A blank screen appears when the computer is running?
    A: 1. Check whether the device is in hibernation mode by viewing the power indicator status. Press the power button to wake up the computer.
    2. Check whether the monitor sleeps.
  • Q: Computer unresponsive?
    A: 1. To force off, press and hold the power button and turn it on again.
    2. Check whether the monitor sleeps.
  • Q: There is no sound from the speaker or headset?
    A: 1. Check whether the mute function is disabled.
    2. Check that speakers or earphones are selected as playback devices.

8. User Tips

  • RAM Upgrade: The Mini PC has two RAM slots. If you wish to upgrade, you can add another 16GB DDR5 5600 CL46 SO-DIMM module. Some users recommend setting 4GB or 8GB for integrated GPU (iGPU) memory in BIOS settings for optimal performance, though direct BIOS modification is not officially supported.
  • Fan Lights: The fan lights can be turned off via the dedicated Light button on the front panel.
  • Operating System: While the device comes with Windows pre-installed, it is possible to install Linux. Ensure you have the necessary drivers and knowledge before attempting to install a different OS.
  • Gaming Performance: The AMD Radeon 780M graphics are capable of playing many games at FHD resolution. For demanding titles, adjust settings accordingly.
