Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your robot vacuum.

  • Empty the Dustbin: The dustbin capacity is less than 0.5L. Empty it after each cleaning cycle or when the 'full' indicator (if available) illuminates.
  • Clean the Water Tank and Mop Cloth: After mopping, empty any remaining water from the tank and clean it thoroughly. Remove and wash the mop cloth. Allow both to air dry completely before re-installing.
  • Clean Side Brushes: Regularly check the side brushes for tangled hair or debris. Remove and clean them as needed. Replace worn brushes to maintain cleaning efficiency.
  • Clean Filters: The vacuum uses foam and sponge filters. Remove and clean these filters regularly according to the instructions in the FQA document. Replace filters periodically to maintain suction power.
  • Clean Sensors: Wipe the robot's sensors (anti-drop, anti-collision) with a clean, dry cloth to ensure they function correctly.
  • Clean Charging Contacts: Periodically wipe the charging contacts on both the robot and the charging station with a dry cloth.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your OEMG BR151, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Robot not turning on: Ensure the robot is fully charged. Check if the power button is pressed.
  • Robot not charging: Verify the charging station is plugged in and receiving power. Ensure the robot's and charging station's contacts are clean and making proper connection.
  • Robot getting stuck frequently: Clear obstacles from the cleaning path. Ensure the robot's wheels and brushes are free of debris. The robot can cross obstacles up to 15mm; higher obstacles may cause it to get stuck.
  • Poor cleaning performance: Empty the dustbin. Clean or replace filters. Clean the side brushes and main brush (if applicable). Ensure the water tank is filled for mopping.
  • App connectivity issues: Ensure your robot is within WiFi range. Restart your router, the robot, and your smartphone. Re-attempt the app connection process.
  • Unusual noises: Check for any foreign objects or tangled hair in the brushes or wheels.

For more detailed troubleshooting, please consult the included FQA document or contact customer support.

User Tips

Based on general usage patterns for robotic vacuum cleaners, here are some tips to enhance your experience:

  • Prepare the Cleaning Area: Before starting a cleaning cycle, pick up loose cables, small toys, or other items that could tangle the brushes or obstruct the robot's path.
  • Regular Maintenance is Key: Adhere to the recommended cleaning schedule for the dustbin, filters, and brushes to maintain optimal suction and cleaning efficiency.
  • Utilize Scheduling: Use the app's scheduling feature to set automated cleaning times, allowing the robot to clean while you are away or asleep.
  • Monitor Mopping: For best mopping results, ensure the water tank is adequately filled and the mop cloth is clean. Avoid using the mopping function on carpets.
  • Optimal Charging Station Placement: Ensure the charging station is in an easily accessible location for the robot, free from clutter, to facilitate automatic return and charging.
