Figure 3: Magnetic Switch Types and Specifications

  • Adjustable Actuation: Use the Irok Driver Software to set actuation from 0.1mm to 4.0mm. A shorter actuation (e.g., 0.1mm-0.2mm) is ideal for rapid key presses in gaming, while a longer actuation (e.g., 2.0mm) can be more comfortable for typing.
  • Hot-Swap: The magnetic switches are hot-swappable, allowing for tool-free replacement. Use the provided magnetic switch puller to remove and insert switches.

6.2 RGB Lighting

The keyboard features per-key RGB lighting with 16.8 million colors. Lighting effects can be customized using the Irok Driver Software.

8. Maintenance

8.1 Cleaning

  • Disconnect the keyboard from your computer before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution to wipe the surface.
  • For dust and debris between keycaps, use compressed air or a small brush.
  • Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasives, or solvents, as these can damage the finish.

8.2 Storage

  • Store the keyboard in a cool, dry place away from dust and direct light.
  • If storing for an extended period, consider using the provided premium travel case to protect it.
  • Keep out of reach of small children.

9. Troubleshooting

  • Keyboard not responding: Ensure the cable is securely connected or the wireless dongle is properly inserted. Check battery level if using wireless modes.
  • Connectivity issues (2.4GHz/Bluetooth): Ensure the keyboard is in the correct mode. Re-pair Bluetooth devices if connection is lost. Avoid interference from other wireless devices.
  • 8K Polling Rate not achieved: 8000Hz polling requires a high-end CPU (Intel i7/Ryzen 7 or better) to process the data efficiently. Ensure your system meets these requirements.
  • RGB lighting not working: Check software settings to ensure lighting is enabled and configured correctly. Ensure the keyboard is sufficiently charged.
  • Keys not registering or double-typing: This could indicate an issue with the magnetic switch. Use the switch puller to replace the affected switch with one of the extra magnetic switches provided.
  • Software not detecting keyboard: Ensure the keyboard is connected via USB-C wired mode when first setting up the client driver. Update the software to the latest version.

10. User Tips

10.1 Gaming Setup

  • For competitive FPS games, set actuation to 0.2mm for instant response.
  • Utilize 8000Hz wired polling for tournaments to minimize latency. For practice or casual gaming, 4000Hz wireless polling offers excellent performance with more freedom.
  • Experiment with game-sync RGB lighting for an immersive experience.

10.2 Productivity Setup

  • For comfortable typing, set actuation to around 2.0mm.
  • Leverage Bluetooth connectivity for seamless switching between multiple devices (e.g., PC, tablet, phone).
  • Disable RGB lighting to significantly extend battery life during long work sessions.
