6. Maintenance and Care

  • Keep the device clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures, moisture, or direct sunlight.
  • Do not disassemble the device, as this may void the warranty and cause damage.
  • Store the MagCam in a cool, dry place when not in use.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Bluetooth Connection Issues

  • Remote not pairing: Ensure the remote is turned on (blue light indicator). Go to your phone's Bluetooth settings and forget any previous 'PGY-MagCam' connections, then try pairing again.
  • Remote functions not working: Check the Bluetooth compatibility table for your specific phone model and operating system. Some advanced functions like zoom adjustment might only work in photo mode or with the PGYTECH PhotoVideo Creative app.
  • Android compatibility: While the remote works with many Android phones, some specific models (e.g., Samsung, Sony, Vivo, Google) or OS versions (e.g., HarmonyOS 5.0) may have limited functionality.

7.2 Charging Issues

  • Wireless charging not working: Ensure your phone is correctly aligned with the Magnetic Wireless Charging Module. Verify your phone is MagSafe-compatible or has the magnetic ring properly installed. Check the battery level of the Charging Grip Module.
  • Slow charging: Ensure you are using a compatible power adapter for wired charging. Wireless charging is 5W, which is standard for magnetic wireless charging.

7.3 General Operation

  • Handle feels loose: Ensure the modular components are securely locked together with the one-step unlock mechanism.
  • Phone not holding securely: Ensure the magnetic connection is clean and free of debris. For non-MagSafe phones, verify the magnetic ring is properly adhered and centered.
