3. Setup and Installation

The Smart Control Panel 8 Pro is designed for installation in standard 86-sized wall boxes using zero-fire wire wiring. Professional installation is recommended.

3.1 Wiring Diagram

Refer to the following diagram for proper wiring connections. Ensure power is disconnected before performing any wiring.

Wiring Key:

  • L1, L2: Live wire inputs (AC100-240V)
  • N: Neutral wire input
  • RJ45: Wired Network port
  • 485 (A, B): RS485 communication interface
  • Speaker 1, Speaker 2: Connections for external speakers (2*30W output)

Note: The stripping length for wires should be 10mm.

3.2 Physical Installation

  1. Ensure the power supply to the wall box is turned off at the circuit breaker.
  2. Connect the Live (L1, L2) and Neutral (N) wires to the corresponding terminals on the control panel.
  3. If using wired network, connect the RJ45 cable.
  4. If using RS485 communication, connect the A and B wires to the 485 terminals.
  5. If connecting external speakers, wire them to the designated speaker terminals.
  6. Carefully place the control panel into the standard 86-sized wall box.
  7. Secure the panel using the provided screws.
  8. Restore power to the wall box.

4. Operating Instructions

The Smart Control Panel 8 Pro offers multiple ways to interact with your smart home devices.

4.1 Initial Power-On and Setup

Upon first power-on, the device will boot into the Android 11 system. Follow the on-screen prompts to configure basic settings such as language, time zone, and Wi-Fi connection.

The panel supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz dual-band Wi-Fi for stable internet connectivity.

4.2 Device Control

The panel acts as a central hub for all your Tuya-compatible smart devices. Devices can be controlled via the touchscreen interface, physical buttons, or voice commands.

4.5 Music Playback

Check the power supply connections and ensure the circuit breaker is on. Verify that the Live and Neutral wires are correctly connected.
Cannot connect to Wi-Fi:
Ensure your Wi-Fi network is active and within range. Double-check the Wi-Fi password. Try restarting your router and the control panel.
Voice commands not working:
Ensure the microphone is not obstructed. Check if Alexa is properly configured and connected to your account. Verify internet connectivity.
Devices not responding:
Confirm that the devices are properly paired with the Zigbee or Bluetooth gateway. Check the network status of the devices and the control panel. Restart the control panel and try re-pairing devices if necessary.
No sound from speakers:
Check the volume settings on the panel. If using external speakers, ensure they are correctly wired and powered on.

  • Optimize Scene Creation: Group frequently used actions into scenes (e.g., "Good Morning" scene to open blinds, turn on lights, and start coffee maker) for maximum convenience.
