Introduction
The Linptech HS3 Human Body Sensor is an advanced infrared motion and light sensing device designed for smart home automation. It integrates seamlessly with the Mijia APP, allowing for intelligent scene linkages such as automatic lighting control, security alerts, and environmental monitoring. Featuring a four-way infrared detection system, independent light-sensitive data reporting, and a robust IPX5 waterproof design, the HS3 offers versatile placement and reliable performance with a long battery life.

Product Features
- Four-Way Infrared Human Body Detection: Sensitive to movement from all directions (up, down, left, right), offering more comprehensive detection than traditional two-way sensors.
- Independent Light-Sensitive Data Reporting: Monitors ambient light intensity (0-1000 lux) and reports data, viewable in the Mijia APP. This data can be used as a trigger condition for smart scenes.
- IPX5 Waterproof Design: High-precision silicone buttons and sealing rings ensure water resistance, making it suitable for installation in wet areas like bathrooms.
- Long Battery Life: Powered by a single CR2450 battery, the sensor can last up to 3 years under typical usage (triggered 200 times/day, 240 lighting data measurements/day in a 25°C environment).
- Wide Detection Range: Approximately 8 meters detection distance and a 120° detection angle. Optimal installation height is 1.2m to 1.5m for maximum range.
- 180° x 360° Rotating Magnetic Stand: Flexible back cover allows for easy angle adjustment and versatile installation in various environments.
- Customizable Settings: Adjust unmanned movable time (1-60 minutes, 1-minute step) and detection intervals (10-50 seconds, 10-second step) via the Mijia APP.
- Smart Scene Linkage: Connects with other smart devices through the Mijia APP (requires a Bluetooth gateway) to create intelligent automation scenarios.

Package Contents
- Linptech Human Body Sensor body x1 (magnetically attracted, CR2450 battery included)
- Iron sheet x1 (with adhesive for mounting)

Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove the sensor body and the adhesive iron sheet from the packaging.
- Power On: The CR2450 battery is pre-installed. The sensor should be ready for pairing.
- Choose Installation Location: Select a suitable location based on your desired detection area. Consider the 1.2m-1.5m height for optimal 8m detection range. The sensor can be:
- Side mounted on a wall.
- Placed horizontally on a table top.
- Magnetically attached to metal surfaces like a refrigerator or water heater.
- Installed on the upper edge of an entrance.
- Mount the Sensor:
- For non-magnetic surfaces, peel the adhesive backing from the iron sheet and firmly press it onto the desired clean, dry surface.
- Attach the sensor magnetically to the iron sheet or directly to a metal surface. The sensor's magnetic base allows for easy adjustment of its 180° x 360° angle.
- Pair with Mijia APP:
- Ensure you have a Bluetooth gateway connected to your Mijia APP.
- Open the Mijia APP and follow the instructions to add a new device.
- The sensor will be detected and can be paired.

Operating Instructions
- Automatic Human Body Detection: The sensor continuously monitors for human movement within its detection range (approx. 8m, 120° angle).
- Light Sensing: The integrated light sensor measures ambient light intensity (0-1000 lux) and reports this data to the Mijia APP.
- Mijia APP Integration:
- View real-time and historical light intensity data.
- Set up intelligent scenes:
- Motion-triggered actions: For example, turn on lights when movement is detected in a dark room (requires smart lights and Bluetooth gateway).
- Absence-triggered actions: For example, turn off lights after a set period of no movement.
- Light-level triggered actions: For example, close blinds if the room becomes too bright.
- Customize detection parameters:
- Unmanned Movable Time: Adjust the duration (1-60 minutes) after which the sensor reports "no movement" if no activity is detected. This helps conserve battery by avoiding constant reporting when someone is stationary.
- Detection Interval: Set the interval (10-50 seconds, in 10-second steps) between consecutive motion detections.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the sensor's surface gently with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: When the battery is low, the sensor's performance may degrade, or it may stop reporting. Replace the CR2450 battery by carefully opening the sensor's casing. Ensure correct polarity.
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check the Mijia APP for any available firmware updates for the sensor to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.
Troubleshooting
- Sensor Not Detecting Movement:
- Check battery level in the Mijia APP. Replace if low.
- Ensure the sensor is placed within the optimal detection range and angle.
- Verify there are no obstructions blocking the sensor's view.
- Confirm the sensor is properly paired with the Mijia APP and connected via a Bluetooth gateway.
- Light Sensing Data Incorrect/Not Reporting:
- Ensure the sensor's light sensor is not obstructed or covered.
- Check app connectivity and battery level.
- Mijia APP Connectivity Issues:
- Ensure your Bluetooth gateway is online and functioning correctly.
- Move the sensor closer to the Bluetooth gateway.
- Restart the Mijia APP or your smartphone.
- Try re-pairing the sensor with the Mijia APP.
- Smart Scenes Not Activating:
- Verify the scene logic in the Mijia APP is correctly configured.
- Ensure all linked devices (e.g., smart lights) are online and responsive.
- Check if the sensor is reporting data correctly to the app.
User Tips
- Optimal Placement: For best motion detection, install the sensor at a height of 1.2m to 1.5m. Avoid placing it directly facing heat sources or in areas with strong air currents, which can cause false triggers.
- Gateway Proximity: Keep the sensor within a reasonable range of your Bluetooth gateway for stable connectivity and faster response times.
- Battery Life Optimization: Adjust the "unmanned movable time" and "detection interval" settings in the Mijia APP to balance responsiveness with battery longevity. Longer intervals and unmanned times can extend battery life.
