6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Local Control

The device has physical buttons for basic operation:

  • Power Button: Turns the device ON/OFF.
  • 'S' Button: Enters setting mode.
  • Up/Down Arrows: Adjusts temperature set points and other parameters in setting mode.

6.2 App Control

Once connected to the Tuya Smart app, you can:

  • View current temperature.
  • Set desired temperature.
  • Switch between heating and cooling modes.
  • Adjust advanced settings like temperature difference, cold delay, and temperature correction (as shown in Video 1).
  • Monitor the device status remotely.

6.3 Key Settings Explained

  • Temperature Difference Setting: This parameter defines the hysteresis, or the difference between the set temperature and the actual temperature before the heating/cooling action is triggered. For example, if set to 0.5°C and target is 25°C, heating might turn on at 24.5°C and off at 25°C.
  • Cold Delay: This setting introduces a delay before the cooling function activates after the temperature threshold is met. This protects refrigeration compressors from short cycling.
  • Temperature Correction: Allows for fine-tuning the temperature reading if there's a slight discrepancy between the sensor reading and a known accurate thermometer.

7. Applications

The MINCO DTC-1201/2201 is versatile and suitable for various temperature-controlled environments:
