4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Initial Setup

  1. Insert TF Card: Ensure the dashcam is off. Insert a high-speed Micro SD card (Class 10 or above, minimum 32GB, maximum 256GB) into the TF card slot.
  2. Mount the Dashcam: Fix the recorder securely on the car windshield using the provided electrostatic sticker and mount.
  3. Adjust Lens: Adjust the lens position to ensure it is level with the ground for optimal recording.

4.2 Power Supply Connection

There are two methods to supply power to the dashcam:

Method 1: Cigarette Lighter Power Supply (Standard)

  1. Insert the car charger into the car cigarette lighter port.
  2. Connect the charging extension cable from the car charger to the TYPE-C input port of the recorder.
  3. Note: The charging cable can be routed along the edge of the car windshield for a neat installation.

Method 2: Hardwire Kit Power Supply (Recommended for 24H Parking Monitoring, Optional Purchase)

If you have purchased the Hardwire Kit, follow these steps for a permanent power connection:

  1. Open the car's fuse box.
  2. Identify a fuse slot that provides constant power (for the RED wire).
  3. Identify a fuse slot that provides power only when the key is in the ACC position (for the YELLOW wire).
  4. Connect the BLACK wire to a grounding screw or bolt in the car chassis.
  5. Connect the Hardwire Kit to the dashcam's TYPE-C input port.

Warning: Improper installation of the Hardwire Kit can damage your vehicle's electrical system. It is recommended to seek professional assistance for installation.

  2. Route the rear camera cable along the roof of the vehicle.
  3. Connect the rear camera's red cable wire to your car's reverse lamp power's positive pole (+).
  4. Plug the rear camera's host connector into the AV port of the dashcam.

When you engage reverse gear, the dashcam will automatically switch to the rear camera view with parking lines. If you do not require this function, you can ignore connecting the red wire.

4.4 Power On Test

Start the car engine. The dashcam should automatically power on, the charging indicator light will illuminate, and the recording indicator will flash, indicating it's recording. If the machine starts correctly, the system working indicator light will be on.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Automatic Recording

When the car engine starts, the recorder automatically powers on and begins recording. When the car engine is turned off, the recorder automatically saves the recorded content and shuts down. Recorded images are saved in segments on the TF card. When the TF card is full, older recorded images will be overwritten by new ones, unless they are locked.

The recording time period can be set in the menu (1, 2, or 3 minutes).

5.2 Collision Sensing (G-Sensor)

The dashcam has a built-in G-sensor. In the event of a vehicle collision, the G-sensor triggers, and the recorder locks the current video footage, saving it as a special image. A lock icon will appear on the display. Locked images are protected from loop recording overwriting.

The G-sensor sensitivity can be adjusted in the settings menu.

5.3 Date and Time Setting

In standby mode:

  1. Short press the [M key] to enter the system setting menu.
  2. Use the [Up key] or [Down key] to navigate to the date and time setting option.
  3. Short press the [OK key] to enter the time and date setting.
  4. Use the Up/Down keys to adjust the values and the Mode key to switch between year, month, day, and time cursors.

Note: For accurate evidence, ensure the correct date and time are set. The time can be automatically synchronized when connected to mobile phone WiFi.

5.4 One-Button Mute Function

During operation, long press the [Down Button]. The microphone icon on the screen will change to a disabled icon, indicating that audio recording is turned off. Long press again to restore audio recording. Settings are saved automatically.

5.5 Playback of Recorded Files

To play back recorded files on the dashcam:

  1. Press and hold the [M Key] for 2-3 seconds to switch to playback mode.
  2. Use the [Up Key] or [Down Key] to find the desired file.
  3. Short press the [OK Key] to play the file.
  4. To exit playback mode, short press the [M Key].

5.6 Parking Monitoring Function (Optional)

This function requires the ACC three-core Hardwire Kit (optional purchase) to be connected to the ACC power supply.

  1. Connect the recorder to the ACC power supply.
  2. In the menu interface, navigate to and select the "Parking Monitoring" function.
  3. Choose a sensitivity level: Off, Low, Medium, or High.

When the car is turned off and parked, if it detects a slight vibration, the recorder will automatically start emergency recording to capture important evidence. Ensure the gravity sensing function is also enabled.

5.7 Time-Lapse Recording Function (Optional)

This function also requires the ACC three-core Hardwire Kit (optional purchase) to be connected and the ACC function to be turned on.

  1. In the menu, navigate to "Time-lapse Recording Duration" and select a duration: 12 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours, or 72 hours.
  2. Select the "Time-lapse Frame Rate": 1 FPS, 2 FPS, or 5 FPS.
    • 1 FPS: 30 minutes of video recorded in 1 minute.
    • 2 FPS: 15 minutes of video recorded in 1 minute.
    • 5 FPS: 6 minutes of video recorded in 1 minute.

When enabled and the car is off/ACC disconnected, the dashcam enters time-lapse recording (indicated by a flashing red light). It exits time-lapse mode and returns to normal recording when the car is started.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your Acceo B46P DashCam, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

Q: After connecting to the recorder's WiFi, black screen or flash back happens after accessing the APP, or can not access the APP?
A:
  1. Android Devices: If your phone alerts "This WLAN network has no Internet access," ensure you select "Connect anyway." If you ignored it, go to your phone's WiFi settings, "forget" the dashcam's WiFi network, and then reconnect, choosing "Connect anyway" when prompted.
  2. App Permissions: If the problem persists, it might be due to restricted app permissions. Uninstall and reinstall the "Viidure" app, ensuring all requested permissions are granted during installation.
Q: The recorder does not read the memory card, or the video sometimes records, sometimes not?
A:

This often indicates an issue with the memory card. Ultra HD recorders require high-speed and stable memory cards. Ensure you are using a genuine Class 10 Micro SD card from a reputable brand (e.g., SanDisk, Toshiba, Kingston). Low-quality or slow cards can cause recording failures. Replacing the card with a suitable one should resolve the issue.

Q: Recorder flash screen or abnormal switch machine?
A:

Check the power connection to ensure the power connector is properly plugged in. Also, verify that the power supply (car charger or hardwire kit) provides sufficient voltage and current. Ultra HD recorders typically require a 5V/3A power input. Unstable voltage or insufficient current can lead to display issues or unexpected shutdowns.

9. User Tips

  • For optimal performance, especially with 4K recording, always use a high-quality Class 10 TF card from reputable brands like SanDisk, Toshiba, or Kingston. Lower quality cards may cause recording issues.
  • If using the 24-hour parking monitor or time-lapse recording, ensure you have the optional ACC three-core Hardwire kit installed, as the built-in battery is primarily for saving settings and not for extended operation.
  • When connecting the dashcam to your phone via WiFi, especially on Android, make sure to select 'Connect anyway' if prompted about no internet access to ensure the app functions correctly.
  • For accurate date and time stamping on recordings, ensure the dashcam's time is synchronized, ideally via WiFi connection to your mobile phone.
