Maintenance and Care
The HAMTOD H3 is built to be rugged, but proper care will extend its lifespan and maintain its performance.
- IP68 Certification: The H3 is splash, water, and dust resistant, tested under controlled laboratory conditions with a rating of IP68 (maximum depth of 2.0 meters for up to 30 minutes). This makes it suitable for outdoor adventures and demanding work environments.
- Water Resistance Notes:
- Charger and accessories are not water-resistant.
- Splash, water, and dust resistance are not permanent and might decrease as a result of normal wear.
- Do not attempt to charge a wet H3. Liquid damage is not covered under warranty.
- Ensure waterproof plugs for the charging port and audio jack are tightly inserted into the holes before exposing the H3 to water.
- Durability: The phone has undergone rigorous durability tests, including Tumble Test (300+ times), Mini Drop Test (5,000+ times), and Multi-angle Drop Test (200+ times). While robust, avoid intentional abuse.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the phone. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Temperature: Avoid exposing the phone to extreme temperatures (very hot or very cold).

Troubleshooting
- Phone not turning on/unresponsive: Ensure the battery is correctly installed and charged. If the phone is completely off, try removing and re-inserting the battery.
- VoLTE issues: VoLTE functionality depends on your local carrier. Not all carriers support this function. Contact your service provider to confirm compatibility.
- Storage concerns: The actual available RAM and storage may be less than the listed total capacity due to the operating system and pre-installed software. This is normal for all electronic devices.
- Liquid damage: Liquid damage is not covered under warranty. Always ensure all waterproof plugs are securely closed before exposing the phone to water. Do not charge the phone if it is wet.
User Tips
- Network Compatibility: Before purchasing or using the phone in a specific region (e.g., Africa, US), verify that the phone's network bands (2G, 3G, 4G FDD-LTE) are compatible with your local carrier's frequencies. The phone is generally unlocked, but network band support is crucial for connectivity.
- Battery Life: To maximize the 2000mAh battery life, consider adjusting screen brightness and closing unused applications. The phone offers up to 2 weeks standby time and 7 hours talk time under optimal conditions.
- Ruggedness: While the phone is IP68 rated and drop-resistant, it is not indestructible. Treat it with care to ensure its longevity.
