Setup
1. Connecting the Controller
- Ensure your gaming device (PC, console, etc.) is powered on.
- Connect the USB cable to the Powkiddy A50 controller.
- Plug the other end of the USB cable into an available USB port on your gaming device.
- The controller is plug-and-play; it should be recognized automatically by most compatible systems.
2. Platform Mode Selection
The A50 controller supports various modes for different platforms. To select a mode, press and hold the corresponding key while inserting the USB interface:
- PS4 Mode: Press and hold the "Triangle" key while inserting the USB cable. (Note: For PS5 games, a decryption dongle may be required and inserted into the USB interface.)
- XINPUT Mode (PC360 Mode): Press and hold the "X" key while inserting the USB cable. This mode is commonly used on PC platforms like Steam.
- Switch Mode (Conversion Mode): Press and hold the "O" key while inserting the USB cable.

Operating Instructions
1. Basic Controls and Design
The A50 features a leverless design with a thoughtfully arranged button layout, providing crisp key feedback for optimal fighting game performance. The fine edge chamfering ensures comfort during extended play sessions.

2. Lighting Mode
The controller features multi-color RGB backlighting to create an immersive gaming atmosphere. To adjust the lighting effects:
- Switching Lighting Effects: Hold down the START and SELECT buttons simultaneously. Then, press the "Square" button to cycle through the next lighting effect.
- RGB Mode Switching Shortcuts:
- SELECT + START + [] (Square): Next lamp effect
- SELECT + START + X: Last lamp effect
- SELECT + START + △ (Triangle): Brightness enhancement
- SELECT + START + O (Circle): Brightness decrease
- SELECT + START + R1: Change the next light effect preset
- SELECT + START + R2: Change the last light effect preset
- SELECT + START + L1: The next key triggers light color
- SELECT + START + L2: Last key triggered light color

3. Burst Setting (Turbo Function)
To activate the burst (turbo) function:
- Press and hold the "TURBO" key.
- While holding TURBO, press the desired operation key (e.g., an attack button).
- The LCD display will show "T12", indicating the key is set to burst at 12 times per second.
- To turn off the burst function for that key, repeat the process.
4. SOCD Mode (Simultaneous Opposing Cardinal Directions)
The SOCD mode helps resolve simultaneous opposing directional inputs. After inserting the controller, select the active SOCD mode:
- HOME + START + DOWN: Neutral (Up+Down=Middle, Left+Right=Middle)
- HOME + START + UP: Upper Priority (Up+Down=Up, Left+Right=Middle)
- HOME + START + LEFT: Left Input Priority (Rear Overlay)
5. Rocker Direction Switching
The joystick has three game directions: cross key, left joystick, and right joystick. Some games may require switching between these modes for optimal control.
