2. Safety Precautions

4.2 Control Panel Introduction

The front panel features a digital LED display and control knob for easy adjustment and monitoring.

  1. Current Display: Shows the welding current in Amperes.
  2. MMA Function Indicator: Lights up when MMA welding mode is selected.
  3. Lift TIG Function Indicator: Lights up when LIFT TIG welding mode is selected.

  5. Mode Switching Button: Press to switch between MMA and LIFT TIG modes.

5. Setup Instructions

5.1 MMA (Stick) Welding Connection

  1. Ensure the machine is powered off and unplugged.
  2. Connect the Electrode Holder cable to the "-" Output Connector (8) on the front panel.
  3. Connect the Ground Clamp cable to the "+" Output Connector (7) on the front panel.
  4. Securely attach the ground clamp to the workpiece or welding table.
  5. Insert a suitable welding rod into the electrode holder.

5.2 LIFT TIG Welding Connection

Note: A TIG torch (e.g., WP17V) and gas cylinder are required and may need to be purchased separately.

  1. Ensure the machine is powered off and unplugged.
  2. Connect the TIG Torch cable to the "+" Output Connector (7) on the front panel.
  3. Connect the Ground Clamp cable to the "-" Output Connector (8) on the front panel.
  4. Securely attach the ground clamp to the workpiece or welding table.
  5. Connect the gas hose from the TIG torch to a suitable inert gas cylinder (e.g., Argon) with a regulator.
  6. Ensure the tungsten electrode is correctly installed in the TIG torch.

6. Operation

6.1 Power On

  1. Plug the machine into a suitable power outlet (AV90-240V).
  2. Turn on the Power ON/OFF Switch (10) located on the rear panel. The LED display will light up.

6.2 Mode Selection

  1. Press the Mode Switching Button (5) to toggle between MMA and LIFT TIG welding modes. The corresponding indicator (2 or 3) on the LED display will illuminate.

6.3 Current Adjustment

  1. Rotate the Current Regulation Knob (6) to adjust the welding current (Amperes) displayed on the Current Display (1).
  2. For advanced functions like Arc Force, Hot Start, Anti-stick, or VRD, press the Current Regulation Knob (6) to cycle through these settings and then rotate to adjust their values if applicable.

6.4 Welding Process

The HITBOX ARC-200mini3 is suitable for welding various materials including Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, Steel Plate, Square Pipe, Carbon Steel, and Galvanized Sheet. It works with materials up to 5 mm thick and welding rods/electrodes from 1.0-3.2mm (e.g., E7018/E6013).
