- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the tester. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the device in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Cable Care: Ensure the test cables and alligator clips are not damaged. Replace if wear or damage is observed.
- Software Updates: Check the official KONNWEI website periodically for any available software updates to ensure optimal performance and compatibility.
8. Troubleshooting
- Tester does not power on:
- Ensure the alligator clips are securely connected to the correct battery terminals (red to positive, black to negative). The battery must have at least 8V for the tester to power on.
- Inaccurate readings:
- Check that the battery terminals are clean and free of corrosion. Ensure the clips have a good connection. Verify that the correct battery type and CCA rating are entered into the tester if prompted.
- Tester displays 'Reverse Connection':
- This indicates the clips are connected to the wrong battery terminals. Disconnect immediately and re-connect with the red clip to positive (+) and black clip to negative (-). The device has built-in protection against reverse polarity.
9. User Tips
