1. Introduction

2. Setup

  1. Battery Installation: The device comes with a 1/2AA 3.6V Lithium Battery. Ensure it is correctly installed. The battery compartment is typically located at the rear or side of the device.
  2. Software Installation: Before connecting to a PC, install the specialized software provided by BENETECH. This software is essential for data transfer, programming, and analysis.
  3. Initial Connection: Remove the protective cap from the USB interface. Connect the GM1365 directly to your PC's USB port. The PC should recognize the device, and the software will allow you to configure settings and download recorded data.
  4. Protective Cover: The device includes a transparent water/dust-proof cover. Ensure this cover is properly secured when the device is not connected to a PC to protect it from environmental elements.

3. Operating Instructions

  1. Power On/Off: Press and hold the power button (usually a central button) to turn the device on or off.

    2. Connect the device to your PC's USB port.
    3. Launch the specialized BENETECH software.
    4. Follow the software instructions to download recorded data, configure logging parameters (sampling period, storage interval), and set alarm thresholds (upper and lower limits).
  6. Alarm Function: If configured, the device will indicate (e.g., via LED lights or on-screen alerts) when temperature or humidity readings exceed the set upper or lower limits.

4. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure no liquids enter the sensor or USB port.
  • Battery Replacement: When the battery volume alert is displayed, replace the 1/2AA 3.6V Lithium Battery promptly to ensure continuous operation and data integrity. Refer to the battery compartment for correct polarity.
  • Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Always keep the transparent water/dust-proof cover on when not in use or connected to a PC.
  • Sensor Protection: Avoid touching the temperature and humidity sensors directly to prevent damage or inaccurate readings.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Device Not Turning On:
    • Check if the battery is correctly installed.
    • Replace the battery if it is depleted.
  • Inaccurate Readings:
    • Ensure the sensors are clean and unobstructed.
    • Allow the device to stabilize in the measurement environment for a few minutes.
    • Verify that the device is operating within its specified temperature and humidity ranges.
  • Data Transfer Issues:
    • Ensure the USB connection is secure.
    • Verify that the specialized BENETECH software is correctly installed and running.
    • Try a different USB port on your PC.
  • Alarm Not Triggering/Incorrectly Triggering:
    • Check the upper and lower limit settings within the PC software.
