Setup and Installation

1. Safety Precautions

  • Ensure the main power supply is turned OFF before attempting any installation.
  • Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or a person with sufficient knowledge of electrical systems.
  • Always follow local electrical codes and regulations.

2. Mounting the Monitor

The Refoss EM06 is designed for easy installation on a standard DIN rail within your electrical panel. Its compact size (7.3 x 5.2 x 2.45 cm) allows for convenient placement.

  1. Locate a suitable position on the DIN rail inside your electrical panel.
  2. Clip the EM06 monitor onto the DIN rail securely.

3. Wiring the Current Transformers (CTs)

The EM06 supports up to 6 current transformers for monitoring individual circuits. The CT line length is 90 cm.

  • Voltage-current correspondence:
    • Red CTs connect to A1, A2 channels.
    • Green CTs connect to B1, B2 channels.
    • Black CTs connect to C1, C2 channels.
  • Carefully clamp each CT around the live wire of the circuit you wish to monitor. Ensure the CT is oriented correctly according to any arrows or markings on the CT itself, indicating the direction of current flow.
  • Connect the CT cables to the corresponding input ports on the EM06 monitor.

4. Powering the Monitor

The EM06 requires a power supply of 100-240V~50/60Hz.

  1. Connect the power input of the EM06 to a suitable power source within the specified voltage range.

5. Initial Setup (Bluetooth & Wi-Fi)

  • The dashboard will display current power consumption (W), voltage (V), current (A), and power factor (PF) for each of the 6 channels.

2. Historical Data and Measurement Charts

The app allows you to review historical energy consumption data and visualize trends.

  • Navigate to the "History" or "Charts" section within the EM06 device interface in the app.
  • You can view power consumption per hour, day, and month.
