Maintenance
- Keep the device dry and away from extreme temperatures.
- Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners.
- Avoid dropping the device or subjecting it to strong impacts, despite its durable zinc alloy shell.
- Regularly back up important recordings to a computer.
- Charge the battery regularly, even if not in use, to maintain battery health.
Troubleshooting
- Device not turning on:
- Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a power source and try again. If the issue persists, perform a hard reset (if applicable, refer to the full manual).
- Cannot record:
- Check if there is sufficient memory capacity. Ensure the device is not in playback mode. Verify that voice activated recording settings are not too high for the environment.
- Poor recording quality:
- Ensure the microphone is not obstructed. Adjust the recording quality settings (e.g., to 1536kbps for highest quality). Reduce background noise in the recording environment. The DSP acoustic processor helps filter noise, but optimal conditions are still best.
- Files lost after low battery:
- The device has an automatic save function for low battery. If files are still lost, ensure the battery was not completely depleted before the auto-save could complete. Regularly check battery levels.
- Cannot connect to computer:
- Ensure the USB cable is securely connected. Try a different USB port or cable. Verify that your computer's operating system is Windows 2000 or above.
